Gettysburg Sunday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Gettysburg Sunday

Good Morning from Gettysburg, PA. Nice cool morning here at the moment, but won't last long once the sun gets up. Low 90's predicted today. Arrived yesterday afternoon and am set up in Gettysburg Campground, which is very wooded , so at least shade with some exceptions. Also have a pretty little creek flowing behind me.

Had a wonderful dinner out with O'Sharon, Kelly (ElkRiverRats) and her wonderful mom yesterday. Really enjoyed meeting these wonderful ladies. Wish I could have been here to have spent the day with them. Will see O'Sharon in about a week in NW PA.

Off to the battlefield Visitor Center this morning. Girls will stay here in air conditioned comfort. Right now, time for some breakfast, hair wash, dog walk and be off on the first day of exploring.

I pretty much decided this medication is making me sick but today is the first day that my foot started feeling a little better.... anyway that's all for noe..B safe ..donna

Sue
Sounds like your are have a great time, can't wait to hear your thoughts about the battlefield. I am just getting ready to leave, trying to beat the storm. Hurt my back on Friday, so the going is slow.

Safe travels everyone and have a wonderful day.

Good morning gals! Nasty severe storm just rolled thru here! Luckily no damage and small hail here. My roommate is camping at a weekend outdoor concert just west of here so am hoping to hear back from her that all is OK.

The gal who was gonna come down from Duluth to look at my car, backed out. :( I do have a guy coming over later for my cartop carrier. And the original sway bars I got with the camper, I contacted the people I bought it from and asked if they wanted them back and they do. They will pick that up on Friday.

Looks like a good day to do indoor stuff. Lots of organizing to do in here anyways.

Now that the severe stuff has passed, I can lay here and enjoy the lightning and thunder! Have a good day!

Good morning
laundry going already, they put a code lock on the laundry room door and
thankfully another resident was coming out and told me the code. Of course
no one answered either one of the phone numbers on the posted memo.
Talked to my sister yesterday, she has to postpone her trip to Washington
due to her melanoma has come back after 8 years if being clear. They will
put her port in tomorrow and do ipilurumab, (sp?) & nivolumab, 3 months.
Then the last one she does every 2 weeks for the rest of her life. I won't get
to see her unless I go to Wisconsin, but she's planning on doing her trip when
she's done with immunotherapy.
The Old Lady is pretty much packed and ready to hit the road. I should however
put a little more water in the tank and do a good vacuuming. The plan is to
leave Saturday, spend the weekend in the white mountains with daughter and
family, then Monday do the 3 hr drive to El Morro Nat'l park in NM. Its a really
nice blm campground for free.
Nothing else is going on, y'all have a great day and be safe.

Good morning all. Had a great afternoon visiting with Kelly and her mom and then getting together with Sue for dinner. I took a bit of the long way around getting there since I wanted to stop at Camping World in Harrisburg first. Picked up a couple of little things but mostly just looked!

Donna, hope your foot gets better before you head out on your journey north. Enjoyed the photos Liz posted of Charles Town. Been years since I was there with my SIL but sadly only got to see the casino. It was her day and that was the reason for the trip! Alice, sounds like you're ready to hit the road!

I need to get a couple of windows washed before I put the ac in. Looks like with the humidity going up I need to at least put the one in the bedroom. That or I may be going out and sleeping in Lola! Hope you all have a great day and for those on the road, travel safe.

We dodged a bullet where I live with the storm! Reports coming in all around the twin cities and suburbs of up to a foot of hail, hail larger than golf ball size, trees blown down, major street flooding, sink holes, and one tornado!
We just got a little bit of pea sized hail and a few gusty winds and some rain. Feeling very fortunate!

Home safe and sound from Gettysburg. Unpacked and now on to getting ready for the workweek. Sigh...
Had a wonderful time and am so happy to have met OtherSharon and Sue. Mom and I walked through many areas of the park but could not cover it all. I am hoping to go back in the fall. The early mornings were great. Nearly had the place to ourselves.
Off to do laundry and dishes. Safe travels to all!
