And Now, On with June

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

And Now, On with June

Postby Colliemom » Fri Jun 02, 2017 6:48 am

Morning. Now that we have had the first of the month, time to head into June and summer. Was so nice seeing so many posts yesterday and catching up with "the family". Everybody's been busy, lots of adventures planned some already taking place. Peggy, have a nice time on your trip. Karen, I know what you mean about the yard work. I really enjoy doing it too and of course there are the days, when not so fun. Sometimes trying to get it in order before I leave on trips gets a little hectic, especially when it keeps raining and the grass keeps growing. I know I could hire lawn service to mow and such while I'm gone, but they don't come cheap and if I have to pay them, I can't afford to do much traveling. I'm fortunate that my neighbor mows for me. Barbie, I kind of envy you heading to Keystone. Sort of wish I was going too.

Speaking of trips. The slide on my trailer has failed again, so back to the shop. Seems to work great when it's fixed and just sitting still, but soon as it's hitched up and on the road, the problem surfaces. Very strange. Everything else works fine. So they are looking for the problem. I have postponed my trip to PA till Monday and should know today, if it will be postponed further. I would rather postpone it and get this matter addresed once and for all, even if I have to go to the factory to do it. There is also severe weather predicted for southern MI and all along my route in OH for Sunday, so I want to wait that out too.

So that's my news for today. Gotta get moving as have appt. this morning. Y'all have a nice day.

Good morning
I woke up early, think its all the anticipation of my
up coming adventures. Got the reservations made
for camping trip with daughter. That totally gave
me a migraine !! I would have preferred to just
call and get a reservation but they make ya use
a website. I guess all that will get easier as time
goes on.
A hot day scheduled today and the next few days.
Of course, its summer in Arizona.
Won't be long now and I can get this trip on the
move.
Y'all have a great day, be safe.

Just got this message from the owner of my shop...

"Is there any amount of a raise that would make you stay? You are awesome and we hate to loose you"

I declined, but it is nice to know I am valued and loved here so much!!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good morning. All the kids in my neighborhood have been out of school for a week and some are traveling for most of the summer
.
Barbie - nice reference - keep that email in your portfolio.

Last night when Annie came in the house she was laying on my legs and just shivering. Her ears felt warm so decided to bring her to the vet first thing this morning. The little witch must have heard me say vet and it took me an hour to find her. I dropped her off for them to check her when they had time and I went to Walmart and ran my errands. When I stopped back by the vet's he said Annie had a fever of 105 but he doesn't know what is wrong with her. He is going to call me later and she may have to spend the night. That's all I need is a sick cat.

Sue, hope they can find out what is wrong with your slide. Every time some one has trouble with a slide I am kind of glad I don't have one. I have enough other stuff that can give me trouble.

Yay for Friday! This short work week felt extra long for some reason. Three sunny days in a row and it seems everyone here is feeling a mood boost because of it :) Looks like storms again on Monday so I'm going to enjoy my weekend. Got some yard work to do and will be getting the camper ready for next weekend's trip - fingers crossed Sue gets her slide taken care of so we can meet.
Martha, hope your cat is feeling better - and hope things are progressing with Harold.
Nice work on the atta girl Barbie! Always nice to know you are valued at work.
Safe travels to Ava and all the rest of you ladies!

Camped at Eagle's Nest SP in northern NM, then drove to Taos to pick up a very few groceries. Found a public parking lot, got my bike out and rode around town. Taos is just one of those very few towns that have narrow streets and small parking lots, so my bike was a good solution. My problem is that I just cannot walk very far any more because of my back. Then had to drive to Abiquiu Lake, a COE campground west of Taos. Not a big place, but very scenic, and costs $8 per night for electric AND water for us seniors! Can't beat that. :D

And I almost forgot to be online for my students to give presentations!!! I had set an alarm on my cell phone, which I do a lot of, and it reminded me, so I stopped in a Walmart Parking lot in Espanola, NM. Whew. I am almost done with presentations and will be done with the semester in two weeks. Yea!
