June 1st - Rabbits Roll Call

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

June 1st - Rabbits Roll Call

Postby Colliemom » Thu Jun 01, 2017 6:24 am

Good Morning everybody. Time for the monthly check in. So chime in and say hi, let us know how you are doing, what you have been up too etc. Always fun reading the posts especially from those who we don't hear from often, but know you are thought of.

Sunshne here this morning after a drizzly day yesterday. Hopefully I can get my grass mowed today. Want to move my trailer away from side of garage, so I can extend and check the awning. Put aome roller shades in yesterday, but need to fine tune a couple so they retract right. Trying to wrap up loose ends and get ready to leave this weekend. Was planning to leave on Saturday, but may delay a day, as looks like a severe weather front will be heading east along my route and I don't want to be driving in that.

Donna, sounds likecthings are moving right along and pretty soon you will be fotloose and fancy free, scary and interesting xciting as it sounds. Barbie, great news on your end too. Sounds like a wise move too.

Time to move along here and get busy. Hope you all have a nice day. Those on the road, stay safe and enjoy your travels.

Bunny! :P I missed "Rabbits" so saying the baby version instead, especially since I've got a ton of the Spring crop in the yard again. Poor Zorro, just can't keep up with them anymore, but he sure does try.

Been so busy lately, will fill you in soon (fingers crossed) on the going's on around here. Been reading tho, so congrats on the new Grand DPF, the decision to get moving Ava & Barbie, and prayers for Mel Velda. Welcome to any newbies I've missed lately also.

Gotta run. One of these days, I'll take a breath. Happy travels ladies & stay safe on the roads.

Morning, all. Today's the day we set out for our Indiana & on to upstate NY trip, we'll be gone nearly 6 weeks. Happy to read all the good news among the WRV sistahs, and still praying for better news for Velda & Mel. DH has a big ol' basal cell lesion on his scalp, so we're looking at Mohs surgery upon our return: all those childhood sunburns we had are now coming back to cause trouble our parents never even knew about.
That's all I know for now. Be safe out there & have fun!

Good Morning, It is lovely and cool this morning. I enjoy walking the dogs really early as all the birds are singing. Good to see you check in Cheryl, looking forward to your news announcement. Mitzi and Toby have been banned from the back yard and chasing bunnies and squirrels until the tick season starts to wind down. I've been walking them and so far, I've had more ticks than they have. I seem to be a tick magnate. I did get them both a Seresto collar but told the vet i was the one who seemed to need it the most

It has not been a great week so far. Toby has a stomach issue that started last Friday. I thought it had resolved but no....Last night he was running to the door crying to go out but all he wanted to do was eat grass. Having had him eat grass in excess to the tune of almost $700.00 last year, I wouldn't take him out. I called the emergency vet as of course it was after hours. The vet on call was a senior vet who said some people just let their dogs eat a little grass so they can throw up. I told him I had considered letting him do that but was unsure of how much would be excessive. I took his other suggestion of giving him a tablespoon of Kaopectate and that settled him pretty quickly. I did tell him I wished they had put a warning on the front of the packet of the Cerenia medication they prescribed. When I looked at it to see what the side effects were, it said you should wash your hands well after handling and if you touched your eyes to flush for 15 minutes and seek medical attention! ACK!!! He chuckled and said he had never noticed that and he has prescribed it many times.

Today I am having lunch with a couple of friends and one has an 8 month old baby. I bought her pink leggings with poodles all over, they are too cute!

Sue, I ope the weather doesn't delay the start of your trip.

Eileen my DH has had two on his scalp and they grew really fast! I'm surprised they are having your husband wait that long for surgery,

Good morning. I completely forgot about this being the first of the month! I just don't seem to be able to keep up with days of the month! I'm lucky to keep track of the days of the week! And I don't always do that well either! I need to get out and mow the lawn today, they're calling for some rain later but the grass is still pretty wet this morning so may not happen today. I need to go to DS's property later to help do a few things before they come in to pour the cement tomorrow. So far I think it's all on schedule and we won't be scrambling to get everything done late into the night!

Looking forward to seeing you, Sue. Hoping you don't cancel your trip, the weather can change pretty quickly around here. It can rain in one place and a few miles away it can be sunny and bright!

Tina, I laughed when I saw Lark's swim! My guys look at water and say no thank you. They don't like getting their feet wet! But they love romping in the snow!

Well, time to get moving. Eileen, hope you have a good trip. Some beautiful country in New York. Carolb shared some of it with me last summer. Barbie, exciting that you've decided to head out earlier and Donna, glad you are finalizing things in FL and get to head out soon too. Have a good day, travel safe if you are on the road.

Rabbits!!
good morning
been busy working on a template for a dash mat
on the old lady as she came without. Its slow going but
I think I'm ready to get the runner and cut. Maggie enjoys
jumping up there for a good view when we're parked.
Made a visit to the suspension shop the other day as
the front end sits really low. Didn't know this mh was
originally built with airbags.Getting those replaced
with bielstine shocks, looking at Monday for the repair.
Might get out there today and run the vacuam, or I
might not. Lol
Planning on a trip over fathers day weekend to Woods
Canyon lake. Daughter is bringing grand's life jacket in
hopes to get the kayak out on the water.
After that trip we'll be ready to hit the road for a good
couple months. No plans yet, just start driving north. Lol
I have nothing else, y'all have a great day and be safe.
Somewhere with Ava and Maggie

Rabbits. From her on the over look with cell service. We will be on the skyline drive by the end of our short drive today with or without cell service so thus we stopped and checked in with the world. Liz has headed on down the road and I still sit but then I got here later than she did. A beautiful view, song birds and some Irish music on the the player....I think this is most lovely.

FYI if any are in the area of Cherry Hill campground outside of Washington DC. We have reservation for Monday 6/12 thru to Thursday 6/15. Paulette is meeting up with us and together we will have two days to explore the city. It is pricy but the most convenient to getting into and out of the city.

Now got make some fine adventures.....little of big, they all make for a good day!

Good morning gals! Forgot to say "Rabbits" this morning. Already June??

Sunny and up to 80* today. Will be working on the little Jeep to get it ready to sell soon.

I may have to put off leaving until after the July 4th holiday. Not a good time to get reservations that week this late but working on something now in Keystone. Will see...

Have a lot to do before I leave. More organizing and cleaning out stuff and packing what I want to take into the camper and the rest to arrange for shipping to California. I am going to rent a Pod and have that shipped and stored until I get there. There are several companies who do that now so I need to research them for the best deal. Just need a little one, probably 5X5 only.

I feel like instead of slowly wading into the RVing waters like I had planned, I am diving in head first now!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good morning Everybody from sunny(finally)CT. My friend Beverly left this morning to watch her grandsons play Little League baseball in Cooperstown, NY for a week, and then she will be back. She camped in my driveway for a month and we did a lot of fun things here while I had body parts checked. Just one more body part to deal with tomorrow and hopefully I will be good to go for another year. Beverly and I spent 4 months in Kino Bay last winter and we travel well together, so we are headed to the Maritimes Provinces in Canada for an extended trip. We may even get to Newfoundland.
Liz and Tina. I've been watching your posts, and hoping we could meet up, but I think I will be on my way north by the time you get here. Please give my greetings to Paulette. I met her at my first gtg in PA with Lori and Doc. So many places to see and so little time. Enjoy today. Peggy

Good Morning...completely forgot "rabbits" this morning. However, did know it was June 1st. Four softball games today on TV, and, June Gloom has arrived.
I am so ready to go camping...have two months to wait tho.
Our company is still here. Mohns surgery is scheduled for June 5th, so waiting for that. Kaiser has enrolled so many new patients, one has to wait for ever for procedures.
That is what's going on in my life right now.

I forgot Rabbits again. I was too busy saying, "No, I don't want to throw your ball. I haven't had coffee yet."

I need a few days in an archive about 70 miles from here, so I'm thinking I'll stay in the county fairground there. I don't know as I'd actually call that camping, but it will be nice to have a place right there after a long day with texts.

It's not morning on the east coast anymore but I wanted to check in, as I completely missed last months roll call. So glad Sue takes care of that. Sue, hopefully you don't have to leave later than planned. I'm so glad to hear Donna and Barbie are getting ready to get on the road. I know Liz, Tina & Paulette are going to enjoy their stay and visit to Washington DC. Velda & Mel, I wish you both the best and hope Mel gets the help he needs. To everyone else, I wish you the best whether you are stationary at the moment or on the roads.

Steve & I are back in MD and miss the warmer temperatures we had in FL. The weather has been damp and dreary most days. Today is the first day since we've been home that the temperature is in the 80's and we actually have sunshine. I have resumed my duty as organist for church, although I also played the last three months every Sunday while we were in FL. Since we've been home, we are doing lots of house and yard work, which is a given when we are gone for six months. We did have a lawn company cut the grass, but there's lots more to do besides just cutting grass.

Have a great day everyone!

Darn, I forgot "Rabbits" again. We got Harold home yesterday. I sure hope we don't have to take him out because the steps were scary enough going up. They are coming next Thursday to install the ramp.

I just realized our house insurance is due tomorrow. I was talking to our agent about lowering the coverage. They want 3/4 of the premium for half the coverage. She was suppose to be checking on us paying it quarterly instead of once a year. For the amount of money we pay every year I am sure not happy with the service. We can't really change because no one else offers farm liability. I am going to have to pay it on line and I bet I'm going to have a problem.

We have received 5 inches of rain this week and there is more on the way. Thank goodness it has been a slow rain so it has time to drain before the next round starts.
