Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Beautiful Sunshine!

Ahh, so nice to see the sun again today after cloudy and sometimes rainy weather this weekend, although we had some peaks of sun. Going to be a good day for working in yard I hope. Hoping for some breeze to keep the mosquitos at bay.

Enjoyed reading all the posts yesterday. Looks lke you all are doing okay and into summer adventures or just usual day to day life stuff. Barbie, that was a very long day for you. BJ, sure am glad I am not where you are and having all the ticks. Haven't seen any here yet. Am hoping to avoid them in PA. That is, if I get there. My trailer is still at dealer awaiting diagnosis of slide blowing fuses issue. They are really busy right now. If it can't be rsolved by middle of next week, I may cancel the trip or depending on how it goes, cut a couple days off my Gettysburg stay. I have a block of time reserved there, so no big deal. We shall see.

Heading for the shower and getting this day moving. Have a nice day everyone.

Good morning ladies
its time for a retreat, heading up to Superior to visit my friend Bill
as I told him I would help him paint the living room. Then we are
loading up the dogs and heading up into the pines for a couple
days. I also plan to open the awning while parked at his place to
check out what condition its in.
Its a nice thought I can just turn the key and go as I'm pretty
much packed and outfitted for my needs. I just need to grab a
bag of my daily stuff .
Finishing up my coffee and gonna get my bath and head out in
a couple hours. Y'all enjoy your day, be safe.

Good Morning to All. I've been reading and keeping up with everyone, just not posting. Today - after almost two months - we will be getting our RV back from the dealers. We told them we weren't in a hurry but... So will have to give it a good cleaning and put in our new mattress. That should be fun - It is in a big box that weighs 85 pounds. Hopefully we can catch a couple of the handymen here in the community to help us. And today is the hottest day of the year 100+. Ugh.
We are thinking about taking a trip - Maybe up through Utah. Bill wants to find places where he can play with his drones. Wide open spaces.

Good morning! I just got back from a fast trip out west with my son. We left my house at 3 am Saturday morning, drove to Pittsburgh for an early flight to Salt Lake City, rented a car and drove to Preston Idaho. He bought a 40' RV from a guy there, it has some damage from a tree falling on it but not anything he can't fix! We went back to SLC airport to drop off the rental and headed out about 7 pm for I-80 and got home last night about midnight! We lucked out with the weather and it was clear sailing the whole way back! Ran into a little rain/snow in WY but not much. The rig needs a new windshield so we had to baby it the whole way. He used up about 4 rolls of gorilla tape holding it together by the time we got home! He kept saying we'd make it and I just kept praying! The idea was for me to drive too but I chickened out and just navigated and fed and watered him at proper intervals! It's a Newmar diesel with 4 slides and loaded with all kinds of bells and whistles. Has some front end body work that needs done too but again he can do it or knows "people" to help him with that. It will be a great coach for their family. But sure made me appreciate my little RV! I have enough stuff to remember on it! I'm sitting here this morning wondering if it all really happened! Whew, quite a trip! But saw some beautiful country again! Places I grew up with but all new to him! I just hope that he can get back to enjoy some of what we saw! But we shared some of my memories along the way which was nice. Things he never knew about his mom!

Well, that about catches me up! Still catching up with all of you! Sue, I hope you don't have to cancel your trip! I've been looking forward to meeting up with you! Time to go unpack and get back in the groove here. Slow start this morning! Have a great day and travel safe!

Oh dear. I just got back from dropping the van off and found a squirrel in my house. This is not good.

I was out of town on business once when my younger son was still living with me. Apparently, a squirrel got in the house and started knocking things over. My son corralled him in my bedroom. Then, because he said it was vicious, he called animal control and paid some guy $60 of my hard-earned 1980s income (I was really poor then) to capture him with a big net. I told him he could have just opened a window and taken the screen off it! Memories are fun, and I still occasionally remind him of the vicious squirrel who just wanted a way to get out.

A lot of rain and wind last night. It is still windy, but now is mostly sunny. Lake is really rough, however, so I have not seen any fishermen out there.

Another lazy day, but a new stack of papers to grade, so I had better get busy. And I am pretty sure the squirrel came down the chimney through the open damper. After a second squirrel, we ended up putting some big mesh on the top of the chimney.

Sue, I would be making noises at the RV dealer to get your rig fixed because you need to leave by.....etc. If you don't keep calling them and reminding them those other nice folks that have vacations plans will get their rigs fixed before you. They get to decide which rigs get worked on each day Don't let them just let yours sit "until they have time to look at it."

I seeing this. It's one reason my rig never goes in without me. I did that once and learned my lesson.
