Looks to be a sunny Saturday here in south central Texas. Good day to play on the water. Here is hoping your life is smiling and you can have some fun. Be safe on the road. Stay warm or cool and dry!

Still raining like crazy here in northeast Ohio. My grandson spent the night and we need to go dump my tanks this morning before I take him home. I was so cold and wet on Thursday when I got here after the slide problem that I did not really do a thorough job and my grey tank is full already. Going to get cold and wet today, but at least it is not windy like it was.

Not only is time flying by, but I am getting close to my five-year full-timing anniversary! Can you believe it? I started on this blog more than five years ago just asking questions and now i am supposedly an "expert" although I still occasionally make a few tiny mistakes like backing into stuff.

Nice to see baby pictures, especially I have all the grandkids I am going to get! I still miss being able to buy baby clothes, and a little girl is so much more fun than a boy. I had two boys and all I bought was pants and shirts. Love buying girly things. :D

Martha, I'm feeling much better about Harold... So glad they re-looked and reconsidered and that Harold is more his old self. Here's hoping for a recovery with great results.

Supposed to get into the upper 70's or even possibly hit 80 today. Sundress day!

Martha, I'm glad Harold is feeling better. You must be really tired. I'm always astonished at how much there is for family to do, and it's exhausting -- just spent some time with Mick and Gayle doing that. Don't get too tired!

I'm home! I rolled in at midnight last night! As it turns out, none of the National Forest campsites I saw had phone service (clearly, I'm going to have to get a booster). They were wonderful anyway!

I'm pretty spacey today. I was going to stop for a bit between Lexington and Louisville. Can you believe I forgot this is Derby weekend? I didn't even get off the freeway once I realized. Traffic was horrendous, lots of roadwork screwing things up, and rain. I completely lost my temper and just drove home.
Drew is very happy to be out of the van today!! :D

It is late in the day but was a great, productive day for me!!

First, I went to see about a Jeep. It is a 2010 Grand Cherokee with the V8 Hemi. It has the full group IV tow package, including brake assist, trailer sway damping, hydraulic engine cooling, back-up camera, hill decent control, back-up warning system, among many other things. And it is red! :D So I bought it! Got them to pay for the tax and fees. My money from the house is still on hold until Monday so will pick it up then.

Then I headed down to Red Wing to visit my brother. We spent over 2 hours talking! Other than the accident and the hospital stay, he remembers everything else now! We had a great conversation! In fact, he is doing so well now, that they are sending him home a week from Monday! He has sure made an awesome recovery! His accident was 11 weeks ago today. He is now pretty much back to his old self! Yay!

So it has been a very good day for me! :D

Better check the towing capacity on that vehicle Barbie.
Everything I read is only for 3500 lbs

Wow, awesome... But see that in the manual, don't just believe the salesperson. (Can you tell how I feel about salespeople?)

7200# sounds about right depending on which rear end it has. Also make sure to check the payload capacity inside the driver's door. Anything under 1200# and you might have an issue with that trailer. Other than the short wheelbase of the Jeep, it should pull and stop the trailer. But, make sure you tow it for practice before hitting the freeway. You need to get used to how the trailer feels while you're towing. How it reacts when you go around a corner, stopping, starting, etc. Don't try to drive it like you drive the Jeep without the trailer. Remember that starting and stopping takes longer. Longer to get up to speed and much more distance to stop.

And just because the Jeep is equipped with anti sway doesn't mean you don't need additional sway control. Please get something that has sway control. With that short wheelbase, you will have less control over that length of trailer and having a good sway control will help with that.
