Clearing Out Wednesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Clearing Out Wednesday

Postby Colliemom » Wed May 03, 2017 6:09 am

Morning everybody/ Finally after three days of rain, it's clearing out and a nice weather pattern setting in. Temps are going back to more spring like warmth. Been watching all the flooding along the Mississippi, Missouri and other rivers and my thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected. BJ, hope things are doing okay in Carbondale. Am watching this weather as it heads east and hoping it doesn't do same thing out that way. Am also watching the Mississippi at Alton to see if it floods Thomson Causeway COE where the fall GTG is going to e held. Flooding of the campground is one thing, but damage to all the infrastructure is another. Time will tell.

Martha, sure hope you can get some decent answers from the doctors who seem to be riding a merry go round down there. That's crazy. Donna, why do you have to stay and babysit the house once it's on the market? Paperwork can be sent from FL to wherever you are if it sells. My neighbors put their house up for sale in FL last summer, sold out the stuff, put some in storage and then headed north. House sold last summer and they just took care of the transaction via fax and mail. That happens up here a lot too.

Went to Camping World yesterday and this time left some green. But there were things I needed and had a $15 certificate to spend too. Plus found out that it's cheaper to renew Good Sam membership at the store than to have it on automatic renewal every year. Get two years for $50 and get a $25 certificate to spend at the store. So more money coming to spend. Will need new tire covers as now have 4 tires instead of two. First going to get new tires and then will get the covers after I get them measured.

But today is a bit of shopping and picking up some material to fashion some guards around the water pump and hot water tank in my storage area, so I can put my stuff back in there from the other trailer. Once that's done, then only have to remount my sewer hose carrier and that will take care of modifications for now. Need to hit the road with it before I see if I want to do anymore. Have other things to do around my yard here before I leave so May will be busy month.

So have a nice day everybody. Stay safe.

Good Morning, Sounds like you are enjoying shopping Sue. I have a few items on my list also but mostly just need to sort out the things I had in Elsie that I never used and get organized in my still nameless replacement for her. I can't decide on a new name but will wait for an inspiration. My neighborhood sits on a high piece of ground and we are safe from the flooding. The nearby town though is sandbagging and evacuating families in some areas where the river is predicted to reach a record high. We had 11 inches in about 2 1/2 days so many towns are coping with sink holes, road closures and damage. I've also been dealing with buying my RV and good grief, when I went to our bank for a cashiers check it took about 15 minutes!!! I used to work in a bank and it surprises me that with all the technology it seems to have just slowed the process. We would have been replaced if we had taken that long !
Martha so sorry to hear about Harold and the difficulties with the doctors.
The forecast is for more rain over the next few days and much cooler weather, like highs in the 50's!

BJ, I went to close a CD a while ago and I bet it took 30 minutes and no one seemed to know what to do. They hired someone new that was suppose to be in charge of that and she didn't know what she was doing. First she tells me it will cost $15 for a cashiers check. I have been a customer for over 40 years and have never had to pay for a cashiers check. When they finally found someone that knew what to do I didn't have to pay for the cashiers check. The best part is she never ask for my ID. The tellers know me but she didn't.

The bad weather is getting here early. There are storms moving in off the gulf. I need to get going to the hospital and maybe I can beat the rain.

Good morning ladies
was a busy day yesterday with two Dr spots. Dermatologist
took another biopsy on my face, where they removed a
squamous last year, they think its actually just scar tissue
from healing but its questionable It was mohs surgery over
a year ago, then the flouracill cream for 6 weeks and now
this. Its a very tough one to get healed!!.
Then the afternoon was my regular doctor for a good physical
and evaluation on my hip. Xrays and all. Blood work today as
well as a dexa scan. Certainly hope all results are nothing to
delay my summer fun cause its getting hot here!!
Tomorrow is my service appt for the levelers, will be glad to
have that addressed.
Need to fix the shade screen on my deck as the wind did some
damage last week while I was gone. Just not feeling up to getting
the ladder out right now.
Ok, I'm off to get dressed and a few things. Y'all have a great day, be safe
and hoping everything goes well for Martha and Harold.

Yesterday was gorgeous, warm and sunny! Looks to be the same today :D ! Finally spring is back!!

Just ran some errands yesterday after sleeping in.

Today will pay bills and spend the day unpacking and rearranging things in my room. Going out to pick up an exercise machine I found on CL for $20. It targets all my bad areas; shoulders, lower back and knees. Need to strengthen all those up to keep in shape for work and camping!

Martha, I hope you can work things out with the doctors on Harold's situation. It can be so frustrating dealing with different doctors! I can't imagine sending him home without any rehab!

Lola gets her new window perch today! She will be much happier being able to look outside at all the wildlife and birds! Still waiting for the window to get fixed but at least it is shut now and held shut with tape.

Have a good day and stay safe! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
