Warming up Monday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Warming up Monday

Postby Colliemom » Mon Apr 24, 2017 7:43 am

Good Morning. Last week of April already. Spring is moving right along, like all the other seasons of our lives. Sunshine and 60 today, so will be out working in my trailer. Making a few mods to gain some storage space. You inow how it is, the manufactuers always put those thin paneling bulkheads in under sinks or places where pipes and wires are in cupboards, but waste extra inches of space behing them. So took one out and am making new one, bit farther back in a small cupboard under my wardrobe. Will gain at least 7-8 more inches of space in there. Also need a shelf in one cupboard as well. Want to get those done, so I can get organized before I leave in a few weeks. I have pics in the camera, will get them posted this week.

Barbie, was reading about your basement home for now. Too bad you couldn't live in your new trailer.

So, Liz is on the road, Tina met the lady Karen got her pup from, how cool is that. CArol is home in NC, Beth and gang gettng ready to open store, BJ getting inquiries and looks at Elsie. All seems to be well un the forum world.

Time to get moving along here. Waiting for repair guy to come over and look at some rotting wood on edges of my porch beam. Y'all have a nice day.

Cooling off here some. Cloudy today but still gonna be 60 so not bad. Looks really windy out tho. Should be finally done with the old house today. Yay!

Sue, there are no RV parks anywhere around here that will let you stay for more than a week. This will work out OK for a few months. I need to get organized financially and otherwise this summer before heading out.

Chilly in here overnight even with the windows closed but had my trusty space heater to keep me warm. I am sure I will appreciate the coolness down here in the summer tho.

Will be taking a run to Walmart today (it is much closer now from here! Just the next town over) to pick up a few little things I need. Also, the only Camping World store in MN is just a little ways north of me (maybe not such a good thing?  )

Have a good Monday! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

I'm back in Ohio, staying at Maumee Bay. I like this place because it is quiet and empty, especially during the week this time of year. I do have a few neighbors because only one small area of the place is open for camping, hence we are all clustered here, though not too close. CHanged my bed and got my laundry out and ready to go. The laundry room is nearby, and I am assuming it is open.

I have a crazy female cardinal that is trying very hard to break into my RV. For the past hour, she has been landing on my window sills (or whatever they are) and pecking at the glass. Might be seeing her reflection, but she has tried several windows. It reminds me of the Eastern Bluebird that I once had in Georgia who kept sitting on my windshield wipers! Nice to have visitors, but I hope she does not hurt herself. They is a small tree next to me that attracts a lot of birds, and this whole campground is what I would call "abandoned meadow." Lots of grass, low shrubs, and small trees--good bird habitat. Camping loops are also very well spread apart, so there is a lot of land between them. I need to find a window bird feeder.

Good morning all. Supposed to be rain off an on for this week but that is okay I have my hands full with the new puppy Emma. We are off for our vet visit this morning. Emma is doing well on the leash (well is a relative term) she is not spinning around and follows me or walks between my feet....sigh but she isnt fighting it so more practice is needed.

Sue I got her from your neck of the woods (so to speak) she came from Emmett, Michigan dont know if that is close to you or not. Was very cool that Tina met her Breeder at the Ohio show just by chance. You just never know.

Got the kitchen floor washed yesterday and that was about it. Took me forever for a puppy barking at the mop lol Had to wash it in sections but got er done.

I was going to go camping next month but have decided to wait until June. Might have a better experience then with the new pup. I want to get my small gardens planted anyway and May is usually the time to do that. Also have window washing to accomplish before the sun starts shining in....that is always scary LOL

Sounds like you are getting pretty well settled in Barbie..and Lola is doing well. Will be more exciting when you get to go in the trailer I am sure.

Well time to get my act together and find my papers for the vet.

Whew! Got 'er done!!
Got the house totally cleared out today. Made a run to the library with 4 boxes of books for their sale next weekend. Then dropped off a few boxes at the storage unit. Then brought the rest of it to the new place. What a relief to have all that done! Now if closing goes without a hitch, I can give an even bigger sigh of relief!

I dug up some Lilies of the Valley that are coming up at the old house and put them in a pot to take with me. I love them!

Lots to do around here now with getting unpacked and settled into my new room. It is a large room so will have a nice little sitting area to relax and read or watch TV. Also will have my microwave and toaster oven on a table in here. Just bought a small air purifier since it still smells musty and am not getting much moisture from the dehumidifier yet.

Gonna relax here for a bit and then run to Walmart and get a few things I need there. Then take a shower and get to bed early. Tomorrow will try to get in for a massage and then keep working on getting settled here.

Congratulations to Karen, and very brave, for getting a new puppy! Sounds like you are having a nice time getting used to a brand new puppy! Barbie, you have been so busy! But things looking up for you and Lola now.
I haven't been doing much since I got home from my big trip. Watching lots of softball games on the TV and reading. I did buy the dvd Yoga for Seniors. Thanks to Irmi and Sarah for alerting me to this activity which I really need. I put the dvd into my computer and it disappeared! My daughter will be home from her vacation tomorrow so I can get help on finding it?!?!?
Our weather has been beautiful...warm but not hot. lyn

My sister and I made it to Rockport, TX. It is quite warm and very windy.

Lyn, I won a Ragin Cajun Redneck wine glass for a door prize at my last campout. I would be glad to send it to you. Even though I live near UL you are the only Ragin Cajun fan I know.
