Still Damp Friday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Still Damp Friday

Postby Colliemom » Fri Apr 21, 2017 7:09 am

Still chilly and damp here in Northern MI. 37 and in fact, some snow just to the north here. At least on the radar. I want my sunshine back.

Well, I did it. Went down and brought the trailer home. Soon as I can get some pictures, will post them. Right now it's parked next to my garage waiting out the weather so I can get busy working in it. Everything is so nicely laid out, that other than making a shelf for one cupboard, don't have much to do except figure out where to put what and then forget where I put it  Between Barbie, Alice, Cheryl, Rosemary, myself and who knows who else, going to be fun things happening.

Barbie, like the ideas you have for getting yor new room ready and great that you are getting down to the final stages of selling your dad's house. I know it will be a bittersweet moment, but you are on to new adventures. Maybe you might even find a campground to park that trailer later and live in it for awhile. Martha, do you have an implant in your eye? I had mine lasered a couple years ago, no big deal.

Well, need to get moving here, so gonna wish you all a nice day and have a great weekend.

Friday??? Are you kidding me?? Where did the week go??
I drove the motorhome around yesterday for good measure,
helps to get all fluids circulating. I do have an audible dinging
now and then, not sure what it is. I thought it was perhaps a
little reminder if I left my signal on too long, but yesterday
I didn't see my signal on, so I don't know. I did look at the gauges
and all those are reading correctly. Wondering if it has anything
to do with my bigfoot levelers. Hopefully I'll get it figured out
soon.
Today,, seriously,, I'm gonna clean. Lol
Y'all have a great day, be safe.

Sunny and a little warmer today. Was really cold yesterday, mid 40's! Mid 60's today. Everything is looking so nice and green around here after all the rain! Leaves are popping out!

It seems the more work I do around here, the more work I see that needs to be done!! Will get a load taken to the storage unit today on the way to work. I work tomorrow til early afternoon and then will pack up stuff for the house (bed, clothes, food and Lola) and officially move in there. Then back to the old house and go thru the closet I haven't even looked at yet. We have a dumpster coming today for the weekend. The piano is going away this afternoon. Yay! Will have Sunday, Monday and Tuesday to get everything finished and clean the house up.

I better get busy here! (After closing and the haircut sale I will really need a vacation!)

Have a great day! :D

Good morning to all! Sue, damp and dreary here too. It's warmish and humid to boot! Temps due to go down again tomorrow. So excited to that you got your new trailer, Sue! Aloce, little noises can be so annoying! I have one but they've checked it and it's nothing mechanical so just have to live with it! Barbie, glad you're getting things ready for the closing on your dad's house. Big sigh of relief! I'm sure!

Well, the Salvation Army truck just left. I sorta had more stuff then I originally told them so don't think the driver was real happy with me. They had to cancel my first appointment and that gave me 3 weeks to keep at it so there it is! I now have 3 rooms that I can see the floor for the first time all winter! And more to go! It's getting there slow but sure! I didn't even show him the couple of small tables out on the front porch. We can catch those next time. Didn't want to push my luck.

I went with my dil yesterday to a lacrosse game and then all the team and parent drivers went out to dinner at a Red Robin. They were amazing in finding a section for all of us and getting us served. It was an hour and a half drive plus then my 45 minutes home so I pooped out when I got home at 10 pm! But it was a fun time. Two of my grandsons are on the team so that is great. I know nothing about the game so I need to get up to speed on at least the basics! Heck, I was just figuring out soccer and now they decided to play a new sport!

I had a message from yesterday that my glasses are ready to be picked up so since the rest of the day is clear I think I'll drive over and pick them up. So better get a move on! Have a great day and travel safe.

Sue, I had cataract surgery 2 years ago. The laser procedure only took about an hour. I never did understand what was getting cloudy. I see a little better far out of one eye and a little better close out of the other. Some colors are a little different out of each eye. I could probably get along most of the time without glasses except I am so use to the lens that get dark outside and I haven't found any sunglasses that I like.

Ava, it's more fun to play in the motorhome than clean. Yesterday I was trying to change a container thing in the bathroom that is breaking because it's so old. The new one is a little too long so I need to get the handle off it so I can turn it the other way. It's about 2 inches less deep so I hope things don't jump out of it when I hit a bump. You will have to get someone to ride around with you to see if they can find the dinging. After the last time mine was in the shop I was hearing something new. I finally figured out that it was a bottle in the kitchen that was hitting something. I had a small step stool that I used to stand on so I can see in the microwave. I took it out for some reason and now I can't find it. I bet if I buy another one it will turn up.

Good morning, all! It is definitely cold and damp here. I will have to break down and wear long pants this afternoon to go out to dinner with friends. I am meeting them at 5, but have several errands I need to run before then. Every time I come to Michigan, I tell myself I need to stay longer next time. I will be back in a couple of weeks, but only for three nights. I have some things I want to stock up on, like Faygo Red Pop, and some things to return today.

This is a nice campground west of Ann Arbor. I vaguely remember being here four years ago, but I believe it was muddy then. Now, this end of the campground has nice asphalt pads, so even with the rain yesterday, I can go out without getting muddy. Looking forward to slightly warmer weather, to say the least. Sorry, I will not be meeting up with you and the others, Sue, but I will be in Arizona and Colorado by then.

Judy, have you read the ingredients in that Faygo pop? On the other hand, you can buy it online I found.

We are not doing a thorough cleaning, just a little clean up. We tracked mud thru the kitchen last week from the rain so need to wash the floor and do a few other little clean ups before their walk thru just so it looks presentable. They indicated that they may live in it for the summer before tearing it down. Just want it to look decent.
