Happy Easter,
The Easter Bunny was at the Farmers Market yesterday so he must have been too tired to make deliveries this morning as nothing on my doorstep. I had a couple come and spend a long time with Elsie yesterday. They want to think about it over the weekend so cross your fingers! After we talked awhile, I went inside and left them to talk and look at everything. I was picturing them pretending to be camped. I had a few DUH moments as we were trying to get the hot water heater to light, I realized I had the propane turned off. I then told them they were on their own with the stove as I had never turned it on. They are wanting to downsize from a large RV and so thankfully they knew how. I've also never used the shower or the furnace. They had been surprised that it looked so new inside until I made my confessions. Nothing planned for the day, except going to a talk about a book a friend has written, "Unexplained Consciousness Events". It is about near death experiences and unexplained conscientiousness events. I think we have all had the unexplained events, like when you think of someone and then they call or you see them. Dogs seem to really have that down, how many times do they know what you are thinking about. I heard so many examples of these types of events from going to a class several semesters in Metaphysical Hypnosis. Over the years so many different people shared experiences that made me realize how much about the power of the mind is unknown.
Enjoy the day, I think we may get some rain, which we need.

I am at my Mothers for Easter, we will go to church and then dinner with a friend of hers. Weather has been wonderful, but guess rain heading this way for the next week. Nice to see leaves and flowers.
I stayed at Wal Mart last Wed. night as did not get to town in time to go to the storage facility. Worked out just fine, wasn't even as noisy as I thought it would be.

Have a nice Easter everyone and safe travels.

Happy Easter!

Tis cold this morning so I'm not rushing out of bed. I want the sun to warm things a bit. I'm going call and see if Safeway is open today. I need fresh fruits and veggies.

A few months back I bought a small (4 cup) electric pressure cooker. The size is perfect for me and I've been doing fine. BUT yesterday I cut up way too many veggies for what I intended to make. I want filtering a recipe, just doing my own thing. Anyway, I already had it over 4 cups and several things weren't in it. :o So I cooked what was in it... Luckily I took it outside to release pressure as overfilling is not a good idea! Anyway, then I emptied it, put the remaining liquid back in with the other ingredients. I hit 4 cups again lol. When finished I combined everything and it's very yummy. But boy do I have a lot. :) I like the 4 cup because I get 3 -5 servings and being just me that is plenty. I hope I learned my lesson!

Enjoy your day!

Gorgeous Easter morning here! Sunny, warm, calm, and the birds are singing! Lola and I were already outside enjoying it. We had a ton of rain here yesterday, so everything is turning nice and green!

Am going next door for dinner later on. My brother, Paul, never even invited me to their Easter dinner at his daughters house just two miles from here. (I would rather be with the neighbors tho, anyways). Of course, my other brother, David, will be spending Easter at the rehab facility with his wife.

Need to work on my stuff in the garage and get that cleaned out today too. Then start moving stuff to the storage unit until I can get it moved to the new place. I want to be pretty much out of here by the end of this week so I don't have to feel under pressure just before closing the following week.

The lady I am renting from said I can park the trailer at her place for a small monthly fee which is awesome! The guy I am buying it from offered to bring it up here for me and park it there. So that will give me time to get a new tow vehicle and also be able to play around with it and figure everything out and get what I need for it. I have already been on Pinterest to get more creative storage ideas.

Hope you all have a great Easter! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good morning and Happy Easter everyone. Sun is peeking out but they said we will have rain showers by early afternoon. Hard on planned egg hunt and dinner plans for some. But we are staying in and have a half boneless ham that is applewood smoked from Costco which we will heat up and I'll make a few sides.
Beth, you commented on pressure cooker taking pressure cooker outside and being glad you did. We're you opening valve right off heat because you needed to do rest of food and it spit food through valve? If so that can be prevented by letting it sit and natural release by just it going down in temp. My trick to help that happen faster is dampen a dish cloth in cold tap water and lay it over hot lid after turning off heat, then change cloth in a few minutes for another cool one. It really shortens time for natural release. That and I don't make a mess opening valve too soon!
I love my Instant Pot!
Have a good day all.

Happy Easter!

We had our usual Sunday steak instead of ham. None of us really like ham and we get so much of it at Christmas that we are tired of it. Two people called during lunch. I'm sure it was to wish us happy Easter but don't call at meal time. One was my step daughter and lunch would have been an hour late if I had answered her call. I have never known anyone else that can talk so much and say so little.

I am feeling a little better today but I'm on my third box of kleenex. Last night my head was stopped up and I couldn't breathe. Probably because I had taken 3 kinds of cold medicine. This morning my head hurt so much I finally had to get an ice bag. I'm trying to not take anymore medicine. I would rather have my nose running than not be able to breathe.

I have only cooked in my instant pot once. I browned some pork chops and cooked them in a gravy. They were good but I don't know it will take the place of my iron skillet or dutch oven.

Velda, sometimes I do a natural release. Others I do a quick release because I want it to stop cooking. Unless it's over full it's never had anything but steam come out. Plus I wanted to reuse it right away. I usually take it outside though. Whew!

Wow, I coulda swore I posted a Happy Easter to y'all, but I sure
don't see it. Hope you all enjoyed your Easter. Did a lot of reading
in my owners manuals today, got acquainted with the maintenance
side of having a generator. Checked the oil, added a little and checked
the air filter. I didn't clean the spark arrestor though, some people
never do but the forest service appreciates it.
A ton of research on my bigfoot and I finally got it to work. All is good,
and looking forward to getting up to Oregon and Washington:-)
