It's Saturday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

It's Saturday

Postby Othersharon » Sat Apr 15, 2017 6:40 am

Good morning all. Looks like a fairly nice day weatherwise here in PA! This warm weather is helping get the trees blooming. Little yellow things landing all over the car and driveway! Just got rid of the leaves and here comes another round! I raked lots of oak leaves out of the yard but there are no oaks right around my property! Still lots of cleaning up to do but it's getting there. Allergies are really kicking in!

Liz, did you close on your new home yesterday? Was thinking about you! How exciting. And some new rigs for some of you. Barbie, nice that you found what you wanted. It'll be fun for you personizing it! Beth, sounds like you are going to busy getting ready gor the season! Hope you get to take a little bit of time off this week end!

Had a nice day yesterday. Met my youngest son and his family for lunch then drove to Altoona to pick up my new sunglasses. And oofed around and checked out the sales at the store. Found a nice sweatshirt and a couple pair of "knock around" pants for $2.99 each! Beats 34.00 a pair! So a good day!

Company coming later today so need to straighten up the house and at least run the vacuum around the downstairs at least! Dogs are shedding like crazy! Ao need to get dressed and get busy! Have a wonderful day.

Morning OSharon. Light rain here this morning. Think it's supposed to stop and just be cloudy. Yard work done here for now. Up to Mother Nature now. I dethatched the ground at our sub entrance late yesterday, so now the rain can soak in and hopefully get the grass growing. Nothing special on agenda today. Maybe go putter in garage as I want to reorganize a little. Also want to run off final route/directions for PA trip from computer and mark the maps. Am starting to think about what I need to get to restock trailer. Take my staple goods like dish soap, paper plates, etc., out in fall and use in the house, then start new in spring. Also need to get some green or brown grass carpet to line pass through storage as keeps stuff from moving around. Hoping the plastic bins I have my water hoses, spare electrical and sewer stuff stored in will fit.
Have to reinstall my sewer hose carrier I made and need a new hose too. Plan is to pick up trailer this week.

Been remiss in sending Birthday wishes to those who have had them, so want to wish Happy Belated Birthday to you and also send out a Happy Welcome to all out new members.

Time to quit jabbering. Have a nice day everyone.

Starting to pack to head north early next week, now that the van is running smoothly again. I've been really glad to be here in Florida, but it's time to think about gardens. Not that I plan to move north very quickly! Things to see along the way.

I'll miss floating in the pool and looking out to see these guys strolling by.

Harold has had a runny nose all week and thought it was his sinus. It must have been a cold because I caught it yesterday. I had a rough 24 hours. Everything hurt even my teeth. I can't remember the last time I was sick. Good thing I'm feeling a little better because I have to pick up my son at the airport this afternoon.

I have a list of things to do in Lafayette but doubt I will feel like doing anything.

Aww, Martha, so sorry. Colds are no fun. I hope you beat it fast.

Good morning everyone. I'm just starting my lazy day. Marnie and Rich, first workers to arrive, texted they'll be here between 1 and 2, so I'll probably head to the store about 12:30 and maybe sweep up a bunch of dead flies to get a head start on them while I wait to show them in. And maybe I'll get my computer out later and check the schedules I've pre-made to make sure they'll work. I also have plans to throw a bunch of stuff in my pressure cooker. Some day I'll follow a recipe. Luckily everything so far has been good.

Sounds like a lot of you will be on the road... Visiting Liz, heading north. Enjoy! And pictures are always welcome.

Good morning
those that have fb know I did a first overnight in a nearby
campground Thought it was good to test the systems,,, and
my brain. Couldn't get my bigfoot leveler to operate although I
did when I bought it. Think when the tires got put on they might
have jiggled something loose. Have an appt on the 4th to help
out getting it sorted out. The manual seemed Greek to me.
Also was able to make a list of stuff I forgot to pit in the motor home.
Simple stuff, like my utensils, and even some cooking pots. Good thing
I had some disposable forks from Wendys. Also forgot my shampoo.!!
All in all, it went well and I really liked the campground! Lost Dutchman
campground, paved level sights with water and electric for $30. Loved
looking at Signal Butte out my window.
Next day I picked up son and his girlfriend and we went to Butcher Jones
recreation area on Saguaro lake. The Salt River Wild horses hang out
there alot. We were lucky a few were there at the time.
My neighbor complained about my motorhome blocking her sunshine
while its parked in my driveway,, I had to address that issue with the
management. The guy next to me is moving on in a week or so and they
said I could store it there for the off season. All that fussing the other
lady did and now she's gone for the season too. It was certainly stress
I didn't need but all turned ok for now.
I'm still working on organizing my cabinets, keep changing things around
cause I can't make up my mind what to put where. I did add a couple
little curtain valances on each side front windows so the sun wasn't
catching me in the corner of my eye. I used command hooks at top of
the windows and laid curtain rods across. I'm very happy with that.
I was up very early today and already feel like a nap. Will need to do
laundry layer this afternoon. Y'all have a great day and be safe.

Been reading things lately but not much posting. Been really busy at my son's house and sorting and cleaning motorhome. Sorting seems to be never-ending, especially since I keep accumulating things and need to get rid of them--put into storage, give away, or toss.

Got some service done yesterday and hope they fixed my odor problem. They think it was check valve in black tank flush, so replaced it, but I am not sure it really fixed it as I can smell slight odor. Time will tell.

See AVA and Sue are getting reading for big travel and Donna finally has the house in order and ready to sell, which will be a big thing out of her hair!

Exhausted tonight! Worked over 9 hours today non-stop (quick break for pizza tho). Everyone waits until the last minute to get a haircut before the holiday. Then when we were getting ready to close, the assistant manager and one of the stylists got in a nasty fight which always makes me a nervous wreck to listen to. Have no idea what they were even fighting about. So I am glad to be home after that and driving in a heavy rain storm on the way home.
Just gonna relax and go to bed early!
Going to my neighbors for Easter dinner and working on getting my stuff ready to move.

Ava, I was wondering what happened to you. Glad you got to get your new RV out and try it out. Can't wait to do that with mine! I need to come up with a name for her now.

Have a happy Easter tomorrow! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

I got into my new home in Dowling Park yesterday. Been spending my time moving some things in from the RV....stuff I carry because I was full time, but don't really need for my travels. I will need a few items of furniture (like kitchen/dining chairs) but will not worry about that until I get back in the fall. Carol is here, and we've been having fun walking Thistle and Peanut, CArol's new dog. I'm looking forward to Brenda coming tomorrow and Donna and Margie coming Monday. It'll be a gtg!
