Celebrating Sunday!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Celebrating Sunday!

Wow, I slept great last night! Such a huge relief to sell the house so fast after all the hard work these past 6 weeks! The past 3 months have been a real rollercoaster for me and my family! Things are headed in the right direction now tho!

Three weeks ago my brother couldn't even stand up or walk. Yesterday, he actually climbed a flight of stairs! Sounds like a little thing, but for him that is a huge accomplishment! He is settled in his new place for the next 3 months now and then will be able to go home!

Today, I am gonna relax a little and then go look at the room for rent this afternoon. It was recommended thru a friend of mine who knows the family who lives there. Hopefully it is nice since I have no other options right now and need to be out of the house in 2 1/2 weeks! The place is out in the country and down the road from a horse farm that raises Gypsy Vanner horses which is my favorite kind of horse! I think I will love it out there!

Hoping you all are having better weather down south now! Rough spring down there so far! Safe travels for those of you on the road!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Thinking of you Barbie as the "to do lists" still circle around your head. But hoping that your smile will give you the energy you need!

Sitting here listening to the sound of spring birdsong. I miss the sounds of birds. There are so many places that just don't have the environment to support the critters anymore.

After waking up at 5:45 am for two weeks straight between work and last week's dog show, my body seemed to crash this weekend. I both slept in and took a nap yesterday.... and headed back to bed to read by 8pm last night. So far I am feeling more human today. Think this experience will help me feel better about not accepting other contracts/projects at work when this one is complete. I am usually tempted to accept and put more $$ away. I will remember the concept of "enough" and go forth and enjoy what is already there for dogs, dog shows and travel!

Besides when I am working I don't have enough brain energy left at the end of the day to peruse the international travel sites... :)

Wishing everyone a day full of wonders to be found!

Tina, I'm contemplating not workamping so much. Especially the winter ones... I feel good about volunteering, but just want more of the relaxing, not Having to get up, etc. We shall see.

As today is a yucky weather day, I'm being a bum. So far the winds don't seem bad, but I'm close to my destination and don't need to be there yet and want to try to be able to go to Scottsbluff National Monument on a non-windy day. So I've done planning around the wind. We shall see if it works lol

I'm staying at a city cg this weekend. The park was overflowing with families having picnics and gtgs yesterday... As the weather was marvelous. I doubt many will be around today with lower temps and winds expected to continue rising.

Barbie, fingers crossed for you with this room.

Had two very tiring days with my relatives, showing them how to work their old cell phone. They bought it three years ago and never figured it out. Also still working on their resources booklet and being shown where they hide valuables in case something happens to them. They are also very particular people and hard to get to do things new ways, so tossing and sorting is almost out of the question. And they keep EVERYTHING!!! Even junk mail and catalogs and old magazines until they can read them and sort them.

Home in nearby campground now printing stuff and working on my income tax. Got the federal done, but now need to do the state. Also, I have full hookups but I want to dump my tanks and put away sewer hose so I can get moving fast in the morning. Heading north to around Knoxville area, and then north of Cincinnati next day. Whew!

Glad your house sold Barbie. You could still get a smaller trailer and park it somewhere for next few months in that area. Then buy the truck you need to pull it in the fall and take off.

Tina and Beth, smart to slow down work-wise. I also have that tendency to take on more than I really need. Best decision I made a year or so ago was not to accept a California project besides my teaching. Would have required travel and a lot more work than it was worth for the money!!

Good morning, everyone.
Very happy for you, Barbie. I hope the room you're looking at works out for you. And glad to hear about your brother's progress. Things are definitely looking up.
Tina, sounds like you've been overdoing - I'm sure its hard to pass up extra $$$, but that 'enough' thing is a good philosophy. Hopefully I'll learn how to do the same when the time is right.
JudyB, I'm sure your relatives appreciate having you help them out & knowing that you know where things are for that day when (as mom used to say) "They don't need them anymore'.
Beth, I treasure 'yucky' days - not many of them here in CA. But that's when its ok to stay in & be a bum... Just one of the things I miss from KS.

Enjoying a cool morning out here - actually had to close my windows for a couple of hours this morning.

I've got to finalize my taxes too. Just need to detail out the stuff I donated when I cleared out the house in KS - I definitely want to do that now while I still remember the bigger things & have notes on the smaller stuff.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.
Take care,
Catherine

I made it back from my campout. It's nice to only have a couple of hours drive. It would have been less time than that if I hadn't gone out of my way to see the name of a business that has a motorhome I saw last week. A few were staying over until tomorrow but my son flew out this morning so thought I better come home. Harold fell yesterday and cut his hand. Then he ran into a limb mowing and cut his chin. I'm afraid it is just a matter of time before he falls and breaks something.

The CPA's office called Friday and I can pick up our tax papers tomorrow. Will be glad to be done with that for another year.

I'm so ready to go somewhere else. Going to Texas in 2 weeks. I hope the weather is as nice as it was this weekend.
