That's true. S ome campgrounds have safe shelters in areas prone to tornadoes or other violent storms, but others don't. Depending on the siituation, sometimes you can't make it to them either. As was the case in SD, when we got hit by a violent storm in the middle of the night. Winds were clocked at 90 mph. I was lucky to have gootten out of my rocking trailer into my truck, much less have tried to make it to the bathroom/office/laundry building, part of which suffered damage as was. Two trailers were blown over and the grain elevator in town was shredded. I saw metal laying on the other side of the freeway.
