Sunshine On Wednesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunshine On Wednesday

Good Morning,

Another beautiful sunny day on tap today. Yesterday was gorgeous after 4 days of gloomy, damp rainy weather. So I started on my fence moving project. Got the gate moved and fence taken down between the house and garage. Temporary fence is up betwwn garage and back fence line to keep dogs in yard. Need to run to Lowes to get couple of fence hinges as got the wrong ones yesterday  Since weather is going to be wet for next couple days again, will finish up that part of project today.

Lyn, three of us have booked sites at rhe COE campground for the GTG. See the GTG thread as I posted them there. Glad you are enjoying TX.

Found a different trailer that I'm kind of thinking on. Would mean having to take out a small loan and not sure I want any more payments unless they are small. Have to go see it before I would know for sure. It's about 75 miles away, no big deal. Dealer offered me bit better trade so far than others have. It's a tually same one you now have Rosemary, only it's a 2015 Rockwood Mini Lite 2109S.

Off to finish my breakfast here. Have a nice day everyone.

Good morning ladies
I continue to outfit the motor home a little bit at a time.
Thinking on loading up with groceries today and spend an
overnight somewhere.
Beth should be heading north today I think, and Lyn should
be passing through here as well very soon.
Have to do some birthday shopping today for daughters
birthday (tomorrow) and scheduled to work sat and sun for
the basketball tourney.
Gonna get started early on my chores, so y'all have a good
day, be safe.

Starting out as a gray day here but they say sun later! I was up early to get the dogs fed and outside before taking them to get groomed. Not going to happen today! She called and said she's sick so rescheduled for next Monday. She sounded awful! Not the end of the world! Just more vacuuming for me!

Sue, your fence project is moving right along! Good to be outside though! I got out the other day and cleaned up the dog messes in the yard! About all I got done! Picked up some twigs from the trees but realized there's alot of them this year! I need to rake but yard is to wet right now so it'll have to wait to get finished.

I made an appointment for next week to get Lola dewinterized and inspected so hope we get a couple of dry days in a row to be able to take the cover off! Otherwise I'll be rescheduling that!

Lyn, hope you are getting through the bad weather with no problems. Looks like it's moving southeast today. Alice, sounds like you're having fun getting your RV ready for adventures!

Well, time to get a move on, coffee is done so need to get going and get some things done around here. Hope you all have a good day!

I was afraid I scared some of the usual MC posters away yesterday. Had a great time in Old San Diego. While exploring the early history of the city, I found a perfect small purse that will hold the iPhone 7 Plus I got recently. I love the phone's larger size, but I wanted something that would be not much larger than the phone. And there it was in a little shop in Old San Diego! It was a beautiful day topping out at 73. Today I'm headed to what was formerly called the Wild Animal Park and now called Zoo Safari. It's not like a traditional zoo with small enclosures. I haven't been there since about 1975 only a few years after it opened. I'm anxious to see how it's grown and flourished. They say it will be 78 and maybe warmer at the park.

Alice, I've been thinking you need to change the statement above the picture in your signature. You ARE where we are! Congrats again.

Safe travels to all.

Another beautiful Spring day in San Antonio, TX. We did get new clean atmosphere after a couple of storms came roaring through in the early morning hours. Lyn, I kept checking last night and everything said you were really blessed with no severe weather at your over night stay. Now you just need to get far enough west tonight to be in the no storm area. That is out near the funny name (Lake Balmorhea State Park) as lots of storms will form there and then tear off east to scare the bejeesus out of folks in or near their paths.

Yes Martha, I think you can start counting down before you get some share of these. Could be it skips north of you and heads for Sarah!

We have been watching the radar for indications that the South/Central America's birds are going to hop on a southerly flowing front and come in for our viewing. Looking good for the birds, but not so good for us watching them, as upper loft will blow them right over us at a rapid rate! Maybe a few will arrive differently. Lyn you will need to come back for a month or so watching the colorful birds after they land from the exhausting trip over the Gulf of Mexico. That is a gorgeous sight.

If you are on the road be safe. Always have fun!

Alice has me on the road early. Today's my last work day... 3 hours in the office this morning. But I'm not leaving here till Saturday.. Heading east into NM before north. My Phoenix visit would have been weekend before last... It got cxl'd after my heat stroke. No Portillo's this year. Boo hiss.

Sandi, good buy.

Lyn, sorry I'll miss you. But I'm so glad you're getting to visit so many!

Getting on here just before noon. Cool and cloudy today but no wind so not bad.

Today is my daughters 16th birthday! Sweet sixteen! Am hoping for our annual visit in the next month or so! Am counting down the years til she is 18 and we can connect on our own terms! Only 2 years to go!

Had our meeting here last night with the real estate agent. She is very nice. Meeting went well. We will be listing the house on April 7th and the first showing on the 8th. I have 4 days off next week (oversight on my managers part but told her it works out good for me since we still have a lot to do and are running out of time!). Still have a few big pieces of furniture to find new homes for. Another dumpster is coming tomorrow for the weekend. The renter downstairs is moving out this weekend too. Then we have to clean out his place.

My brother, David is going thru intensive therapy (physical, speech and occupational) right now. 8 hours per day, 6 days per week. He is slowly improving but still has bad days now and then which is normal for his type of injury. In a couple weeks they want to move him to another facility for 3 months that specializes in TBI patients for more intensive therapy. His memory is hit and miss. He does not remember the accident or that my dad passed away or their trip to California and Arizona in January. He does mostly recognize his friends who stop to see him. He is in a very low stimulation environment with low lights, nothing in his room to distract him, no music or TV, and only 10 minute visits are allowed per person, one at a time. He gets very overwhelmed and agitated easily from even a little bit of stimulation. Now that I know about the weekly "family" meetings, I will go next Monday for that.

Getting a much needed massage this afternoon! Having problems with my shoulders again. Massage always helps that quite a bit.

Those of you on the road or about to be, stay safe and avoid the storms!

Forgot to mention, apparently Lola had a great day outside the other day! The renter told me this morning, he saw her over at the neighbors, down by the lake, looking in his window, and up and down the stairs of the deck all day! (so much for the gate I put up!). Here I was feeling sorry for her! However, she has not asked to go back outside since. She likes the security of being an indoor cat and I know she had a bad experience for those 4 months out on her own in California. She likes a little bit of outdoors but wants to know she can come back in when she wants/needs to.

I just talked to Sarah. She got home safely late last evening and found the power out at her house. I think she said it is back on now. She is busy cleaning up the mess left by the storm, but no serious damage. She has not had time to turn the computer on yet.

Water pump died again so I am at Camping World waiting for water pump #5 to be installed. CW is offering extended warranty for two years past manufacturers warranty so I got it for $30. Little do they know my history with water pumps!

Spending night just south of Macon, GA. Then for few nights to Lake Lanier. Next week will stop at aunt and uncles on way to Ohio. Will be glad to be out of heat and humidity.
