Terrific Tuesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Terrific Tuesday

You can tell I don't open up Morning Coffee often because I can't think of a good topic name. I arrived in San Diego yesterday to deliver the family heirlooms of my best friend to her cousins here. My friend is fighting breast cancer and sadly it appears it's a losing battle. I met her cousins yesterday and delivered a car full of family photographs, paintings, and other treasured family memorabilia going back to the 1800s. Now I have three days to explore this beautiful city. Too bad Lyn isn't here at this time to lend her expertise as the ultimate San Diego city guide. I'm going to check out Old San Diego today and will be visiting some museums and other sites in the next couple days. Hopefully I'll get some good pictures to be able to share.

I am sorry I am not there to show off my city! Have fun. I am still in TX! Yesterday I had a wonderful tour of the TX Blue Bomnets area. What a beautiful drive. Great company too with all their knowledge of the area!
Today I again drive west. Lyn

Good morning gals! :D

It is sunny and warming up today so am hoping I can take a nice walk around the lake and old neighborhood.

Yesterday was sunny so I let Lola out on the deck and left the door open a bit so she could come and go (you know how cats do that!). When it was time for me to leave for work, I thought she was in so I shut the door and left. When I came home last night, I see a very sad face looking at me thru the slider on the deck! :o Uh oh! Poor thing was stuck on the deck all day with no food or water! I felt so bad! Bad mommy!
At least it was fairly warm all day.

Today I need to clean the house up a bit since we are meeting the real estate agent here tonight to sign the listing agreement. Hoping we can list it in two weeks.

Am not sure what my plans are yet for this summer. I am having trouble finding a place to rent that is short term (6 months or less). I don't want to rent an apartment since I don't have any furniture and don't want to buy any here. Rooms for rent are either too far away or almost $1000 a month (rent is very expensive here). My coworker that I was going to stay with, can't get approved for an apartment because of her bad rental history so she is staying with another coworker for now. I may end up actually heading to California right
after the house sells anyways. We'll see...

Lyn, travel safely! Sandi, have fun in San Diego! Lots to see and do there! Check out the cliffs in La Jolla! The sea lions should have their pups on the beach there now.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Our phone and internet went out yesterday afternoon so I was able to finish my tax papers. The outage was probably thanks to the road crew working between here and town. I should probably thank them. I had an appointment with my eye doctor this morning so I was able to turn in my papers. My eyes are just now somewhat back to normal. They dilate my eyes and then blind me flashing lights in them. I had noticed that the vision in my left eye was getting worse. He had said something last year about doing some kind of laser treatment to clear it up and I didn't want to do it. I'm going to have it done next month.

Poor Lola. Some of our house cats like to go out and I forget to let them in. If I don't get them in before dark then they want to stay out and I get tired of trying to get them to come in. About midnight I don't have to beg them to come in.

Looks like there is bad weather in Texas. Lyn might better hold up a day or two. I hope it's not headed for us.
