Last Sunday in March

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Last Sunday in March

Good morning all. Another gray damp day here again! After the 70 yesterday and a taste of spring guess we're back to wintering temps!

I took the day yesterday and drove down to visit with my sister in law and met up with her son and his wife for an early dinner. I haven't been done down for quite awhile so lots of catching up to do! Rain was forecasted but I got lucky and had dry roads both ways! They are far enough south that spring is showing there. Amazing what a couple of hours drive will do!

So today I need to finish the housecleaning I started Friday! Got my laundry done and cleaned the upstairs so need to work on downstairs today! I really want to get Lola uncovered but since the cover is wet it'll have to wait until it dries out! I don't want to store it if it's damp! Sigh! So will just have to be patient! Surely we'll get a couple of sunny days in a row!

So with that, I need to get dressed and get busy. Enjoying hearing about everyone's travels and hope you have a fun day and travel safe!

Well, the "water dog" is now playing in the pool while the rest of us are indoors! I can't blame him -- the pool is lovely, and I'm in it a couple of hours every day too.

I so agree with you, Tina, about having time to wonder and wander. When I was so sick and eventually declared disabled, it felt like the end of the world. Turns out it was the beginning of a new one! There are aspects of this one that I actually prefer, like having lots of "back porch time." How I craved that when my life was moving too fast.

I made it back from the campout. It's nice to only have a little over an hour trip home. There is a meat market near the campground that sells BBQ dinners on Sunday so I picked up dinners. Harold got the day off from cooking.

Now to get back on my taxes. I got pretty far along last week so need to get it in high now. I have another campout in Breaux Bridge in 2 weeks. It's called a Glamper Rally. I don't have one of the old glamper campers but my friends are going so I'm going too. I'm not sure what else is going on in town but they just ask that we show our camper if anyone want to tour it. Guess I will have to clean house.

Good evening gals. Worked all day today. Very busy for the past week since this week is Spring Break for the local schools and everyone is getting ready to head to warmer places for a week or so.

Apparently my brother Paul and his wife showed up at the house today with their dog who ended up chasing Lola all over the house and scaring the crap out of her, (she has been hanging all over me tonight which is not her typical behavior). The people in my family have absolutely no boundaries or respect. I just found out (by reading the Caring Bridge site) that there was a "family" meeting last week at the hospital for David and everyone was there but me...because I was never told about it! I am so sick and tired of being left out of everything around here. I was planning to stay here until fall but I am now thinking I might just leave as soon as the house is sold and closed, and I have my money in hand. I don't need to stick around where I don't feel welcome or appreciated.

Still cool, cloudy and wet here but warming up a little this week. I want to get outside and take a walk around the lake. It was too cold and windy yesterday to do that. Maybe on Tuesday. Would be a good day to do that since we will be meeting with the real estate agent Tuesday evening and I am sure that will be stressful (for me). I can do a walking meditation to get calm and centered before then!

Sounds like quite a few of you are on the move or about to be soon. Safe travels to you!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
