A Visitor and an emergency

Lyn came and spend several days with me. WONDERFUL! We didn't do much of anything except let her enjoy the peace and quiet. Casey loved running around off leash and going to the fence to get all my little guys barking. We went out to dinner a couple of times and that's about all there is to do here. Leesburg is a town of only about 400 people and consists of a blinking yellow light, a church and a little Mexican restaurant. I have a 30amp hookup and water so anyone is welcome to come visit and enjoy total quiet and peace. Don't think I could get a big class A up here but easy for the smaller stuff. Lake Bob Sanlin state park is only about five miles away and would be wonderful kayaking. There is antiquing around.

Lyn left Friday morning and later in the day my daughter got stung by a wasp - she is highly allergic. I jabbed her with the Epipen and called 911 cause her breathing was so shallow. they gave her oxygen and monitored her vitals which, thank God, came back to normal pretty quickly. Her only comment was that at least she'd killed the damn wasp. I moved here so they could take care of me if something happens, not for me to be scared half to death.

Missing Lyn, she's so much fun.

Wow, so glad your daughter is okay. You and the epi pen saved the day.

So glad Lyn was able to visit. Some day I'll make it!

I have to carry an epi pen when my one grandson comes with me, and I did get shown how to use it, but wow, that is a scary experience. My fear is that my grandson will run away and not let me jab him. He's 11 and even fights eye drops and has not yet had to be jabbed by the epi pen.

Thankfully, the EMS people came fast and could give your daughter some oxygen. Whew!

Very scary experience, Karen. I'm so glad you were there! Yes Lyn is a lot of fun. Glad she stopped to visit you. I too will stop for a visit some day, maybe next year when I head west again.

I carried an epi pen for years because my son was allergic to fire ants and they are everywhere around here. Thank goodness I never had to use it but we made many trips to the emergency room with him.

Whew! That must have been so scary for both of you! Glad it worked out ok.

Sounds like you had a great visit. I look forward to meeting some of you gals someday.
