Traveling on Tuesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Traveling on Tuesday

GoodMorning from Martin Creek Lake St Pk, TX! Camped on another huge lake in this vast state. I am close to Karen now. She tells me an hour away. Guess that's close in TX. Will be going to her home later this morning. Lyn

Good Morning Lyn, you are chugging right along there. Going to seem boring when you get home :) sun shining here this morning, but chilly out.

NOTE REGARDING THE IL GTG. Inhave changed the date for the IL GTG. This will give those who are working or can't come during the week a chance to spend a weekend with us. And also avoid peak werkend travel times. One other thing to note is
I believe Galena has a fall festival set for yhat Saturday, so you might want to get reservations in ASAP.

Judy, I did drive about 6 posts in yesterday. I can drive the metal posts in with the post driver, but I can't dig in with the post hole digger as yet. So am just working on where I can. The ground is thawing on top, but still frozen about 2 inches below that top layer and snow patches laying around too. But I wanna get outside. Beth, you know me too well  yes, I did say the fence was done. But after having it up almost a year, I have come to the conclusion that going back and forth through the gate between house and garage is a pain. So want to move the gate to front of garage edge and take that entire section, about 25 feet out, and open the entire yard between house and garage. That necessitates having to fence in a section between the back of garage and shed to keep the dogs in the yard. And move another section over to close up between shed and another section of fence. Being I enclosed the current area kinda quick after I moved here, some isn't as tight as should be either. That's my story and I'm sticking to it  I don't like being idle anyway :)

Think I will see if friends are going to be home today and take a ride down for a visit. Not in working mood today.

Y'all have a nice say.

Good Morning Lyn and Everyone !!! You're moving right along Lyn. Glad you're meeting up with a Sistah. Casey may feel overwhelmed with his greeting from so many But you're sure to have a great visit with Karen. Enjoy your time there.

Expecting guy to come wash and wax rig, poor thing is the nastiest it's ever been. Then to get someone to clean inside  hmmmm I can dream can't I ?? Laundry is on agenda today too. That's a beginning on cleaning and organizing inside, right ?. :o :D

No real news from here, just thought I should let you all know I'm around just quietly ( me??? ). Hope you all are ok, those on the road stay safe and enjoy the ride !!!

It really must be spring, I had the urge to dig in the dirt yesterday. I planted some flowers. I probably should find a piece of wire screen or fence to keep the cats from using the new dirt as a litter box. My Rose bed needs to be weeded and new mulch put down. It is a fight to keep the weeds out of there. I bought some fertilizer but don't know where I put it. It took me 2 hours to find the potting soil and trowel yesterday.

There is an RVW campout in Breaux Bridge this weekend. It's not an official rally so doubt there will be more than about 4 of us. It has been a fight to keep this chapter going because it's so spread out. The next rally is in Alabama and I don't feel like driving that far. It's at the beach and I'm not a beach person. I went last year and only walked on the beach and swam in a lazy river. I can do that at home.

I put flea treatments on the house cats this morning. They hate that so much and it makes me hate to do it. Now I need to do the outside cats. They are all going to be mad at me. It's hard to get the outside cats because once they smell it they are gone. I can only get about 2 at a time. I need to get a bag of the stuff that treats the yard for ants and fleas.

Been up, had breakfast, dumped my tanks, and did some picking up, but I also need to get that vacuum cleaner out and vacuum and do some serious cleaning. But it will have to wait until I get this semester done in a few days. Been getting the sob stories about how they had no idea that would not pass the class, etc. Could they redo some assignments? Can't afford to retake class...single parent....Sob.... No, no, and no. College policy, and they should have spent more time reading the things I posted instead of skipping them. (I can tell what they read online, when they read it, and how much time they spent reading it! Reading an assignment three hours before it is due is not a good indicator! :o ) And flunking the open book exam does not help some of them either, especially since half of it is true/false.

OK, I will be more positive. It is a beautiful day and for once there is good TV. I just hate pledge break weeks because all they show are the same 50s music (which I have heard before) and self-help programs. It is MUCH too late for any self-help for me.

Anyway, drive carefully Lyn and the others on the road. I am staying put for another 6 days.
