Wednesday and still Cold

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Wednesday and still Cold

Postby BirdbyBird » Wed Mar 15, 2017 5:59 am

Morning wind chill was reported as 0 degrees. Guess I will find out as I walk out the door in minutes. I have the electric heater running in the rig out in the driveway with a blanket curtain closing off the big beautiful window. I poured pink stuff in both tanks after I returned home two weeks ago but am now hopping that it will all be enough. Guess I better head off to work. I might need some of the money to repair something soon. Oh, yes, and I checked the propane level last night and probably only have enough for that back up (below 45 degrees setting) for maybe one more night! :)

Make a wonderful day where ever you are and with what you can.

Chilly here too, temp is 10 degrees. No worry about trailer hough as it's winterized till May sometime. But sun is out, like yesterday and that will warm things up.

Off to town today. Payday, so errands and grocery shopping :D Have a nice day all. How are you gals in the Northeast faring?

Good morning
The storm is terrible and I feel so bad for you girls when I'm sitting
here looking at a high today to be 91, it's currently 65.
Have a mandatory meeting this afternoon at the charter bus job.
A prescheduled water shutoff for repairs in the park at 9:00.
Gotta get my shower early and wash my hair.
Need to do some bank business and call the tire store in Tucson.
Can't wait to get the motorhome in the driveway and start loading!
Y'all have a great day, be safe and stay warm.

Good Morning All,
Try and Stay warm Tina, better get some more propane I think there is one more night of this. We are 18 with a slight wind this morning. I'm sure the orchards have had major damage. My nephew and his wife are camped at a nearby RV Park that stays open all year. They have a tt and said they were fine Monday night when low was 22 so hoping they stayed warm last night. They are on their way home to Chicago from a trip to Texas for a BBQ cook-off in, I think Houston. They love Abbeville, LA so stayed there several nights on the way here. I told them about Betty's but they were already booked at another park.

Today is The Ides of March. I always get a little apprehensive this time of year because major changes in my life seem to occur.

I'm going to a St Patrick's Day party and trying to figure out what to take. Any ideas would be appreciated. I wish my scone making attempts were more advanced.

I hope everyone in the storm area is safe.

Northeast reporting here - 25 degrees and sunny. The snowstorm was a bust in Connecticut. I had lots of wood to burn and projects to entertain me but the snow didn't cooperate. :D

BJ, your nephew should have hung around Abbeville another week and waited for warmer weather. :D I wish my attempts to make scones were better. I keep trying recipes. They aren't bad enough to throw away but not real good either. The restaurant in Lafayette that always had a big St Patrick's party closed so don't know if there is much celebrating now. They always put up a big tent and served green beer. The water in our river is so ugly that it would take a lot of dye to make it green.

Tina, hope you don't have any problems from the cold. I don't winterize so always worry for the 2 nights we have freezing temperatures. I put up a curtain to block off the cab so it's easier to heat. I would usually take the curtain down but have left it up because I like being able to just close it and not fight with the curtain that goes around the windshield. I might just leave it up all the time.

Lyn, I'll be waiting for your call. Have a safe travel day.

No where near as cold as what many of you are facing but still there is something amiss when I am parked in Ocala , FL mid March dressed in sweat suit and long johns! Freeze warning here for tonight. After 2 days of rain, the sky cleared late last night so I got to see the moon on Nickys last short walk - too cold to stay out and enjoy it.
Lyn, I was sorry to see that Wendy wasn't able to meet you while you stopped in south AL.
Allergies still playing nasty but I did drag my butt over for senior yoga class this morning. Haven't felt like walking much so figured even a little movement better than nothing.
Sun is out and wind not bad at moment (high in low 40s) so guess Nicky should get another short walk.
The only major handicap in life is a bad attitude!
