The Old Lady Days are here--updated name

Postby avalen » Tue Mar 14, 2017 4:40 pm

The day has finally arrived...................I bought a motorhome!!!!!
2000 Winnebago Brave, 26', 27,000 miles, well taken care of and little remodeling
already done,,,,, new floor, new shades, faucets and bonus self leveling system added. Has the Onan microquiet generator too. I can do some drycamping!!
Its got that chevy 454 workhorse engine. Only thing I need to do is
put new tires on it as the current tires are 8 years old. Not even comfortable
driving it home with those, its in Tucson so thats two hours on old tires. Not
gonna happen, did some research and the plan is to drive it first thing to the
tire store and wait for the new tires before I drive it home. Not sure which
day I'm going but I signed the bank deposit on the ira but have to wait one
day to go get the cash. Thinking maybe Thursday is a good day to go get it.
I'm tickled and I've been sitting on this secret for awhile now afraid to jinx
the deal if I told too soon. It is a private party sale and the guy was kind enough
to take a deposit and take it off the market and wait with me for my funds. I'm
so happy!!!

Yeah! The day has come! I don't have to keep my mouth shut anymore.

I'm so happy for you. I don't know what Malia has planned for us Thursday... I'm off and it's her last day here. But keep in touch... If possible will meet up, maybe have lunch while your new to you home gets new shoes.

YAY Alice. I was a good girl too and kept my mouth shut....did not want to contribute to the jinx. Now you can get your butt up here this summer and we can do some camping. I am so darn excited for you. Looks fantastic and now you can outfit it and make it your own. WOHOO

So happy for you, Alice! You really know how to get into the retirement groove. :)
It looks wonderful.
I did the same thing when I bought my van - lined up my tire purchase before I went to get it & had them put on as soon as I took possession of it. Always a good idea.
Cant wait to see posts on your adventures!

I will eventually get a toad, and I prefer s jeep so I can go up on those
trails. Its a shorty for a class A but I didn't want anything bigger than
26'. I love the levelers!!! I'm also going to see about an imvertor cause
I do like going to sleep with tv. I set my tv to shut off automatically.
All in due time, and I'll also check into a portable solar system. Ok, I've
spent enough in my dreams, I'm off to watch my shows.
