Monday, Monday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Monday, Monday

Postby bluepinecones » Mon Feb 27, 2017 8:06 am

Good morning
Arrived at Hillsborough River State Park yesterday afternoon. Awaiting arrival of others later today. I was actually up way before the sun this morning. Chilly start to the day but it will warm quickly as the sun climbs. Forecast is for good weather all week.
Enjoy your day.

I'm here in SIte 6, so stop by and say Hello, anyone who gets here before the meet and greet. Met Linda and Sarah yesterday, but I had work to do so not much time. Going to get my bike out and go exploring soon.

Good morning gals!
Sunny but cold here.

I finally have a few days off! Whew! Not used to working that long of a stretch! And so much to do around here!

The dock is gone now. There is a pile of wood and pipes in the front yard. I found a few pieces of the old original dock from 67 years ago that was still underneath the newer dock, that I was able to salvage, that are not rotten. One of my customers gave me the idea of taking some of the pieces and making something out of them. Not sure what yet, but thinking of making something out of the small 2X4's that can hang on the wall with something on them (writing. photos. etc) and make 3 of them for each of us kids. Any ideas would be appreciated from some of you very creative gals!

Can't believe it has been 4 weeks already since my dad passed. This month has been a real whirlwind of crap!

My brother is doing better each day! He is being moved today out of ICU so that is a very good sign! I will probably go up there one day this week again to see him.

Today will be working on taxes, laundry, health insurance, and cleaning out the bathroom and kitchen. The next two days will be going thru closets, etc. My brother, Paul, was over on Saturday and cleaned out the office which was a real mess and one room I didn't want to deal with since there were a lot of papers in there that I wouldn't know what to do with. So we are making headway. Need to hire a realtor now and get that going. The house two doors down just got razed so will be interesting to see what monstrosity gets put up there! It is a huge piece of property with a ton of lakeshore about twice the size of my dad's.

Also need to buy a new phone. Mine is on its last leg. Thinking of finally getting a smartphone but there are so many kinds and different options that I have no idea what to get. I need something that is easy to use and not too many bells and whistles. I just don't understand all this new tech stuff! Any ideas?

Better get some breakfast and get started here...have a good day and those of you going to the GTG, have a lot of fun! Hope the weather is great for that!

Barbie, go onto Pinterest for some reclaimed wood ideas. That's what I do sometimes. Also, get an IPhone. They are easy to use once you get the hang of it. So many apps available. I like ve my IPad and eventually will probably get an IPhone. I know a lot of people who have them and really like them.

Unlike, Sue, I much prefer android to I-phones.... That's after using both. But either really are pretty easy to get used to. You can get Androids at a lower price. I got my current one on Amazon at a great price...

Android need anti viral anti malware protection where thus far iPhone does not. It's just one more thing I don't want to,have to deal with so I'm a iPhone owner. Mel, is a Android guy because he does not mind the hassle of having to keep up,with anti virus stuff.

I ended up ordering an Android only because I just can't afford an iphone right now. May be able to upgrade to that later. The one I ordered came highly recommended by a friend who also offered to give me a personal tutorial on it's use.

Barbie
I have an Android and I have LOOKOUT SECURITY app that was recommended by one of the techs. Also FAST REBOOT helps close things to free up space. I do that about once a week. Lookout scans any apps that I download so far I have not had any problems. I really am not an Apple fan. I use my IPAD but not much, I like my Kindle Fire better..LOL Think it is all what you get used to. I still have a Mac computer in "time out" in the closet (for like 10years now LOL).

Good luck, and many of us have Androids on here so just give a holler

Karen, my current Android came with apps installed that automatically free up space etc, with my approval. Keeps my phone fast, etc. It asks me to clear browsing history if I go anywhere it wants to keep me secure, etc. Probably similar what you've installed. I particularly like how it frees space...
