I'm really excited to meet so many of you! My mom is coming along and we are looking forward to a great roadtrip.
We have never done a GTG - anything we need to know?

I won't be there but to answer your question......we do keep aa imaginary fund for bail money because we never know when we might need it! Bring bug spray, a comfortable chair, hiking shoes if you hike, a sense of humor and tales to tell around the campfire! There are usually several planned or unplanned potlucks. Many are wonderful cooks and many of the rest of us know how to shop and heat things up nicely. No pressure for perfection and no one ever complains about going hungry......

Ask questions.....GTGs are the perfect time to ask questions that you didn't want to put in print....

And sometimes we do "open houses" so new people can see what we have done with our rigs. No need to participate in anything if you don't want to. It's a pretty loose group and no one will get insulted.

Sorry for not responding to recent posts. Was in a car wreck (all 4 of us are OK). We were t-boned when a pick up ran a stop sign. Two days ago I learned that my 30-year old great nephew had passed away.

Yes, the GTG is still on. I just updated the list of attendees. If I missed anyone, please let me know.

I set up our own Facebook page to use for just this GTG. Search for RV Women at Hillsborough River. Ask to join the group and then, as administrator, I will approve you.

Donna Reinhart is on site 44 and I am on site 40. We will be passing out pink ribbon/tape to hang on your site so everyone will know who is part of or group since we are very spread out. We will also have green ribbons to hang up if you want to allow members to check-out your RV (curious women!). You can offer a snack/drink to visitors, but that is entirely optional.

One scheduled potluck will hopefully be on Tuesday, February 28, in the campground Pavilion if we can get it (first come-first served basis).

I'm sure there will be card games and left-center-right (bring quarters). This started out with two of us and we now have 19 RV's. Should be a fun time in a great Florida State Park.

I was going to ask about the potluck. I want to plan so I don't have to run out to the store. Anyway, I will bake up some spareribs and bring my homemade barbecue sauce!!

Also, I am arriving on the 26th, not the 27th. Could you fix schedule?

I have done a map showing where everyone is camping for this event. (Sorry, for those of you whose campsites are slightly off the map, but I had problems getting the site numbers to show up so I truncated the maps. Photobucket also turned it into photo size instead of the original 8.5 x 11 landscape.) I have uploaded a copy to Photobucket, but also have a pdf version I can email to anyone who sends me a private message with an email attached.

I will bring a few copies with me. See you on 26th.

Just a note to let you know I will be flying from FL to TN tomorrow morning due to the death of my great nephew. I will be back in FL on Wednesday. Not sure how much time I will have to follow up on anything for the next few days, but Donna Reinhart will keep an eye out on this post.
