I don't seem to have any balance, I keep bouncing off the walls when I try to walk around. And I think I'm dehydrated, I had one glass of water today, but I just slept for six hours and I'm trying again... fingers crossed I don't barf again.

I hope you are feeling better! I had this a few weeks ago and promptly gave it to my son two days later :)
I didn't have the chills but he did (this might be because my first symptom was some slight nausea so immediately took Oscillio, my miracle flu med haha) . Also swollen glands, fever, severe coughing, no appetite, headache, and SO MUCH post nasal drip. We were both exhausted for days. He got over it in a week or so. I am still stuffed up 3 weeks later but at least I'm not feeling ill anymore and the coughing is minimal.
We tried mucinex and dayquil/nyquil. The only one that put a dent in the symptoms was dayquil. First time ever mucinex has not worked for me.
It is really going around here now, hopefully it will fizzle out soon.
Wash those hands ladies! Take care all

Glad you are on the mend. It's a vicious bug for sure. I was sure tired last night after my first full out active day in over a week.

Monitor your fluid intake and fever. Elderberry if you have it. Chicken broth, tea, water all felt good.
Hope you get through this soon.

My doctor recommended lots of fluids including Gatorade. I had never had Gatorade before but it sure tasted good - I tried the Frost flavor.

Sorry that you are feeling so awful! I take an herb called PauD'Arco. It is from the bark of a South American tree. It is antiviral, antifungal, etc. Google it. I haven't had a cold or flu in years, and I do not get a flu shot.
I only take it if I start to feel sick. Then for a couple of days. Not knowing your medical history, you have to decide whether you can take herbs. All I know is that it works for me.

Since I don't have and of the narcotic cough syrup they give me when my chest gets this bad, I broke down this evening and dug out the bottle of oxycontin they gave me for my knee replacement. Took one and laid down... and finally stopped coughing! Now I'm up drinking more water, sure would like some gatorade but with both of us sick as a dog, water will have to suffice.

Went to Urgent Care this morning 1 1/2 hour wait. I tried to get DH to wait outside or come back for me but he wouldn't
I sure hope he doesn't get sick. Test for flu negative but she though that was wrong. I'm glad I went as I have bronchitis and have to go back for chest exray if not better in 24 hours! I haven't had bronchitis since the nineties. '

Just got done at the docs office, turns out I have bacterial bronchitis, I had to get a nebulizer treatment, a steroid shot, then a home neb, a course of antibiotics, and a taper down course of prednisone... no wonder I feel so crappy.

Glad you went to doctor, Mickie. I had similar situation last spring in Arizona. When you have asthma, which I do and you also, a little cold really messes up your lungs. I was coughing so hard I was throwing up and had to wear incontinent pads. Ton of prednisone and antibiotics did the trick!

Also, as I learned through caring for my mother, you really need to watch dehydration as you get older. She had a couple of bouts of hallucinations from dehydration--it lowers blood pressure and your brain does not get enough oxygen. A trip to the emergency room and a couple of glasses of water got her back to normal.

Good that you went to the doctor Mickie, hope you feel better soon! How did they tell what type of bronchitis it was ? I thought I had bronchitis because I always get an odd taste in my mouth so decided I better get checked.
