Monday Morning

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Monday Morning

Postby Colliemom » Mon Feb 06, 2017 8:08 am

Morning all,

Yes, I am alive and kicking. Feeling much better this morning. Thank you for the well wishes. No, it wasn't't flu, just a combination of sinus issues due to two days with the paint brush, dry winter air etc., and being tired. Been sneezing this morning, so it'sclearing my nose out.

Will be a little more active today, as need to take Piper in for her Rabies shot, then bank and run a few errands. Need to stock up the larder before the storm arrives tomorrow and into Thursday. Rain/snow followed by lake effect and winds behind it. So will be puttering around here putting my kitchen back together etc. Fun stuff now.

Barbie, hope you get over your cold or whatever. Good luck with your packing and travel back to MN. Linda, nice to see you posting more, missed ya. Pat, Bronc gave me a laugh with his breakfast order. He doesn't beat around the bush does he  Hardee Lakes GTG underway. Looking forward to hearing about it.

Morning, Sue. Glad you're feeling a bit better! I know the dry air has been wreaking havoc on my sinuses so I've been using the neti pot a lot more often.

Tried for a hike yesterday, but my bum knee didn't cooperate, made it about 3/4 of a mile before throwing in the towel. Made me sad and frustrated, but feeling better today.

Hope everyone has a great Monday.

Good morning ladies
Was a great day yesterday to be lazy, accomplished a lot even though
I did nothing, lol, does that make sense, haha, it does to me. :-)
I did go to the store, got dog food and snacks. Also surveyed the
empty tubs I have and which ones I'll keep that will fit in storage
bins for extra supplies.
Have a dermatologist appt tomorrow morning, I suspect they will
do a biopsy as one ugly spot has been froze twice now and never
healed. It needs biopsy!
Stopped into Visionworks to shop for new glasses, ha, they don't
take Medicare! So, learning some ropes here, guess I'll have to do
some research on that subject.
About time to get dressed, y'all have a great day, be safe.

That was some SuperBowl game!! I kind of quit watching after halftime because it looked like it was a done deal, but then towards the end I heard them say the score was tied! Couldn't believe it! Watched the exciting ending. That one will go into the record books for sure!

Got a few things done last night before going to bed early. I slept good but feel lousy this morning and still coughing with a sore throat. Will probably keep my meeting with Linda kind of short today. Hopefully, I can knock this out of my system in a couple days with the ZiCam like I did last month.

I also decided that since I am not feeling too peppy right now and I have so much to do yet, that I should give myself a few extra days before leaving. I asked my GC's manager if I could move my start date ahead a few days and she is fine with that, so that will take some pressure off me this week and I won't head out until Sunday or so. I need to get my car looked over before I leave too.

Lola is still mad at me but at least coming up on the bed now! She befriended one of the dogs here, the one who loves cats. It is so cute! The dog (german shepherd mix) comes up on the bed and she lays right next to her.

It is nice to see palm trees and green grass again! And not have to wear 4 layers of clothes!

Have a good day! :D

Barbie - I don't miss much about Florida, but when I was pulling on sweats and wool socks the other morning I sure missed the weather a bunch.

The heat I use in my motorhome is the heat strip in the air conditioner. When it runs all night like the last time I camped I get a nose bleed after a couple of days. We are now back to air conditioning. It's already 75 outside. The weather channel is saying we could have severe weather tomorrow. I hope it's not headed to Florida.

Barbie, it's a shame Lola has to leave her new friend. The dog much be persistent to have won her over. One of the cats we had would get mad at us if we were gone for a few days or if I took her to the vet. When I see Mitch's puppy playing I think CC needs a puppy to play with. lol We're not going there. I know how much work a puppy is. Posse is the only cat that will put up with him and she has to get up on something so he can't reach her. I'm sure she is happy when he's gone for a few days.

No Ava, medicare doesn't pay for glasses or dental. So far my visits with the eye doctor have been covered because I have a diagnosis they use. I have a spot in one of my eyes that they are watching and just about blind me taking pictures of it every time I go. Now that I think about it I probably have another appointment next month. The guy that had the discount optical store in town retired so hope I don't need to change my glasses. He was over a hundred dollars cheaper than every other place.

A couple of the Louisiana Belles want to camp this coming weekend in Lafayette and want me to go. I don't know if I should go two weekends in a row since I will be leaving in a couple of weeks for Florida. My camper really needs to be cleaned and washed. Maybe I can pull it out in the rain tomorrow.

Remember Martha, there are no rules that require rigs to be cleaned or washed to attend GTGs....... :) As long as the board of health isn't about to close you down....

Barbie, Phoenix used to be where doctors sent folks to help with allergies. Because those people brought their gardening habits, especially grass, with them, Phoenix's humidity level is rising, and today Arizona is one of the worst states for allergies. That's how we people ruin things!

I was just doing major reading on this subject because it appears to be effecting me this winter. :(

Beth, unfortunately, this is a cold. I have a sore throat and bad cough and tonight a 100* temp. Going to bed early after soup and lots of zicam!

Altho, my allergies have been bad too since I moved down here.

I did get a chance to see Linda today. Gave her a haircut and we went out for lunch and then went over to Papago Park by the Zoo and took a short walk before we parted ways. Probably overdid it with that tho and feel worse tonight.
