Shivering Sunday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Lazy Sunday here, just sitting around watching snow flurries, organizing recipes & planning our route to Florida for the Hillsborough GTG next month. So sorry to hear about Velda's Mel & Barbie's dad. Prayers of comfort and healing to both families. Went to check on the MH in storage yesterday; all is well. Ran the engine & generator, inspected all the storage areas for rodents or insects, replaced the Fresh Cab, & caught a serious case of road itch! Wanted to make up the beds & hit the road.
Thanks to all the good advice here, I think I know how to de-winterize it for Florida, all except the tankless hot water heater. Any advice? They installed a water heater bypass when it was winterized & I failed to ask what to do about it in reverse! I can always call or go to the winterizing place on the way out of town if needed.
Nice to hear about the GTGs in process, and especially glad Sarah made it away, too! Be safe on the trails, ladies, till we meet again.

Barbie -- so sorry to hear about your Dad and glad you made it back in time to see him.

As for the house, my brother has been looking here in the cities. Realtors say there are not enough houses for all the people that are looking and the nice ones are going like hotcakes. Your Dad's place is in a higher price range then we have been looking at, but hopefully you won't have any trouble selling it.

Eileen, usually you run water through your system until you rinse out all the antifreeze, leaving the bypass valve closed so no anti-freeze gets to your water heater. Only turn the bypass valve to let water go into the water heater when the rest of the system is flushed of antifreeze. When all is thoroughly flushed and water allowed to go into the water heater, you can turn it on and heat water. I have only done this once, but it really helps to be at a full-hookup campsite when you do all of this.

And Barb, another reason for moving into the house is that sometimes the insurance company will cancel insurance on a home that is not occupied. They figure there is too big a chance of someone burning it down or vandals causing damage if it is unoccupied. So make sure you do not turn off any of the utilities until after it is sold and you have closed on it.
