Gmoring all :)

Did some re-reading & realized I missed a day. BJ, you really got hit by that ice storm! Glad you had a generator & lucky you didn't have to use it. We're under a freezing rain advisory today, but nothing yet. Yesterday was so nice & all snow had melted from my yard, so I got out & did a couple hours of yardwork:)

Thanks to Q gtg gals for contacting Linda:) I'm really missing y'all. Will be there in spirit. Lyn, almost forget you were there as a first stop on your way to FL gtg!

Alice! Your last day of work!!! :P

HB is getting a new cylinder head this week. Mechanic had no luck getting the stuck spark plug out.

Y'all have a great day 8-)

Morning Carolb and all,

Being lazy here this morning. Raining out there. Nothing moving other than one squirrel so far. Rain and freezing rain has made everything icy again.

So I am staying in the house and doing some inside things. Been about a week since I last did anything in here, so time to get back to it. Have some painting to do on the living room wall. Missed a few spots on the last wall I did. Was tired and it was kind of a low light area too. Want to experiment with some paint in the spare bathroom while I have the stuff out too.

Carolb, too bad he can't get that plug out . Whomever installed it, must have put in it there for life. Men seem to think that "tight" means it never comes loose for any reason even if it's meant to be taken off.

OKay, not going to make idle chatter here about nothing this morning. Hope you all have a nice day and watch out for ice, those of you who are next in line. Hope the rest who have it, get thawed out.

Good Morning,

This is Woohoo Alice Day!!

I have now been here 1 week with one week to go - haven't accomplished what I meant to, but I've gotten other things done. It's like a dang social club! :) There are 5 of us that usually gather by evening and so far 3 have each had a turn of a little too much to drink - and I'm not one of them! No issues just funny. Some of us had our rigs washed yesterday and I had the camper waxed. One man offered to repack the wheel bearings on the trailer and got a little more than he bargained for on one side, but he got the job done. So grateful! Today I'll be putting in a new water pump and glad to know I have back up if I run into problems with the wiring - not expecting to. Sold my folding bike to one couple and their 13 year old granddaughter loves it. And - we'll all be meeting up again at the next park!

To all of you who have been a bit stuck inside due to weather, it must have felt so good to get out! Sure hate missing the Q GTG, but I'm looking forward to a couple more here in FL. Will be about an hour from the Hillsborough GTG so will be able to drive down.

Make it a great day!

Morning all!

We are in some strange weather pattern where it looks and feel like we live in London, cool and damp with endless fog. Strange.

Ava, so happy for you!!

Morning, all! Still enjoying the ocean view and breezes. Got another whole week before I have to move, but nice to sit inside and still have the sounds and fantastic view. Lots of big waves still, but hardly any wind means I can put my awning up and enjoy it.

Semester has started, so I now have papers to grade after a month's hiatus. I have done so much bike riding and physical things like climbing the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse yesterday that I am happy to stay in my recliner while I work and watch TV.

Tomorrow will be an even better day, Alice! You can sleep in and eat a leisurely breakfast and have the whole day to yourself. :)

Good morning from Q. Still just Sheila, Lyn and I here so far. Clear and beautiful in the desert. A little cool and windy yesterday but so far today looks better. Lyn and I have already been over to check out the vendors. With my love of geology, I had found an interesting rock while walking the dogs in the desert in Salome before I moved over here to Q. I thought it might be petrified wood and took it to a couple gem/rock vendors here to see if they agreed. They did! I was really thrilled. I told my daughter about it and she said it's too bad it's not gold! Oh well, it's as good as gold to me. I've suspected for quite some time that she doesn't take after me at all.

Looking forward to others arriving.

Sandi, I would love to see your "rock" you found! Love that kind of stuff! (I think we talked some about that in Tucson). I have a huge piece of petrified wood in my Jeep that I brought with me from MN that I found near a swamp in my old neighborhood growing up. I should have someone at Q look at it and see what it is worth. It is about 5"wide X 3" thick X 12" long.

I would much rather find that stuff than buy it. Means so much more!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

I totally agree Barbie. I want to find it, not buy it!

Sandi, after traveling with 2 boys and paying gift shop prices for petrified wood I have always thought that a whole petrified tree would be like finding gold.

I just got back from taking Stinky and CC to the vet. They wanted to do a senior profile on Stinky which involved blood work. She gets so upset going to the vet. She usually poops in the kennel and drools a lot. They had to sedate her to draw blood. I'm not putting her through that again. They come up with something new every year to make more money.

We have been having fog every morning. It has been gray all day but still got up to 75. There is a lot of rain in Texas and across North Louisiana but they say the front is not going to come through here today. We might have some sever weather tomorrow and Thursday.

It's sad but a child got hit by a float and killed in the MLK parade yesterday in Abbeville. I guess Abbeville is going to be another town that bans parades. Some towns are making the Mardi Gras parades get liability insurance and they can't afford it.
