Late morning Thursday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Late morning Thursday

Gmorning all :)

No one opening yet? Hope that's not a bad thing. Sue, are you snowed in, trying to dig out? Martha, glad you didn't get the brunt of that storm. All looks good for Hardee gtg, & Tombstone. So great to see everyone enjoying each other & good weather:)

Being home for winter, I've continued my cleaning & purging, plus doing a few inexpensive improvements. Haven't done much over the past few years to "pretty up" my house. Still hoping to get to FL, so thanks for keeping me in mind Anita & Donna. Will be great to see any other of our family who's down there:)

No other news. Y'all have a great day 8-)

Good Morning!

This will come as a shock to some of you, but I was up to see the sun rise this morning! Then I walked around one of the lakes - partly to wear off the stiffness from walk Liz, Tina and I took yesterday. I thought that was pretty good until I re-read that Liz had walked around that lake plus another yesterday morning!

Soos fixed our main dish last evening - yum. Due to mosquitoes, we gathered in Nan's coach (except Soos who had a lovely campfire) and sometimes laughed until it hurt. Loving the birds plus have now seen some deer and armadillos.

Hoping all of you get through the nasty winter weather without problems! I check the Wunderground severe weather map each day and I have never seen it as covered in white as it was yesterday!

Make it a great day and safe travels!

Morning all!

Frosty day here, woke up to snow and 9 degrees, brrrrrrrr. Had to go back for part two of my haircut, I love my gal but her life is a mess, so every haircut is an adventure in "what will be wrong today". Last time she started having blurred vision from a new med when I was about five minutes into the haircut, she tried to shape it up with one eye closed and home I went with it like that. Went back so she could finish today, and her oldest daughter was in trouble, so ten minutes of haircut interspersed with 20 minutes of calling her daughter to yell at her. Like I said, I love her, but it gets tiring.

Good morning ladies
Morning is almost gone and I still have a lot to do.
Met a friend for breakfast this morning and have an
appt at noon to meet the banker and discuss options
for the rollover. Those not on facebook,,,,I posted my
retirement is official as I have filled out the intent at
work. Ya, I was teary eyed. Its a scary thing and I'll
miss my friends but I have you girls. I also have many
options for driving positions if I need them. One of
them being a driver in an escort car for wide loads.
Its good CASH money and sort of intrigues me. I can
also come back as part time relief driver in the fall
working only a day or two if I so choose. Retirement
Association says no more than 20 hrs a week, for 20
weeks in the fiscal year or forfeit my retirement. That's
what they consider double dipping. Anyway, lots to think
about. So the count is down to 7 workdays and today I
told them I was calling in tomorrow for a day to practice
retirement. Hahahaha, not really but it was funny.
Anyway, yall have good day

I drove down to Tucson yesterday right after work. I got to Beth's site just as the sun was going down. I had to stop a few times along the way to get some gorgeous sunset photos! The desert down there is so much prettier than up here. Not much to look at here other than sand, rocks and a few scruffy shrubs here and there. Down there it is so green and full of different cacti and trees and interesting plants all over!

Beth and I settled in early last night. I was tired from working all day and then driving 2 hours. This morning we met up with Sandi and Karen and Cathy, a coworker of Beths, at the Desert Museum. It was a perfect day, cool with a slight breeze and sunny! We watched a bird show and then walked around for a few hours looking at plants and animals before eating lunch and shopping in the gift shop there. Then we parted ways. I went with Beth and Sandi to walk their dogs before I headed back to Phoenix. Just got home a little bit ago. Had a great time and everyone is so nice! It is so fun to meet you gals in person finally! Hoping Cathy joins this group too! She is so sweet!

Was happy to see my new schedule for next week has me on for 32 hours. Will make my next paycheck a little bigger!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

I really enjoyed finally meeting you Barbie and Beth's coworker Cathy. We encouraged Cathy to join the forum. It was a perfect day at the Desert Museum. Also great to see Karen again. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone in Quartzsite soon. I'm thinking I'll be there the 15th.

It was a great day with great friends, older and new. I bought the annual pass, so will be going back to the Desert Museum. And as it's only a mile down the road from me, I can go for an hour just to relax, if I want. I could easily do that and sit in either Aviary, or go to one of the two daily raptor free flights. There's another animal show some days I'll make sure to see also.
