Anne (cudedog), I'm glad you're enjoying your van. My parents did theirs. Camped all the way west and back one year with nothing more than a dinette that folds into a bed, their personal stuff, Coleman stove and the necessary cooking and eating equipment. Had a blast. I've contemplated going that route, but don't really want to have maintenance on two vehicles and driving a van up here in winter is not an easy task. Why don't you check into have an outside plug installed, so you can plug in without have to run a cord through the window. Maybe even get some graphics or pinstriping done and it will look more like an RV when you pull into a campground. That changes people's attitude. Congrats on the retirement.

Off to mass this morning, then store and home. Maybe go see cousin this afternoon. If not, back to the basement. Have a nice day to start your year everyone.

Happy New Year everyone... think I will give the RT a bath today in preparation for Hardee Lakes... I was just wondering if anyone out there that has DirecTV if you are local NBC CBS and ABC stations are not on the air this morning I get a message on mine it says DirecTV and the stations are in conflict of some sort... so I guess I'll be missing a few of my football games today that does not make me happy I pay for this service I think I deserve it I wonder if they will take a reduction in their bill this month... we shall see ... have a most wonderful day & B safe...donna

Good Morning to All and a very Happy New Year to all. Yesterday here in Mazatlan we had quite temps and rain off and on all day. 30% chance of rain today. Okay with me I took another nasty fall two days ago and places I didn't know I have ache today. Advil time for sure. Lots and lots of fireworks at midnight here from all over the city. They love their fireworks.
Remember to back up your computers - always good to try to get in the habit at the end of a month.

Heard some fireworks last night and figured out it was time to say "Rabbits". Currently sitting here in McIntosh, FL, and getting ready to head on down to the Hardee Lake GTG tomorrow. But for this morning I am ready to take the dogs for their walk and then Liz and I hope to take a First Day Hike later after lunch.

Someone mentioned rabbits on FB shortly after midnight. I don't believe I said anything before, so called it out.

I've been watching the eagle cam off and on. Missed first eaglet hatch yesterday morning, so spent my New Years Eve using my data hoping the second would. As of an hour ago, still an egg.

I'm starting the New Year off right... Cleaning three restrooms and sorting the recyclables.

Congrats on your retirement, Anne. And your upcoming retirement, Ava & yours too, Laura. Anyone else getting to leave the work-a-day world this year? While i'm grateful for the opportunity to continue working remotely, I still look forward to the day when I can wake up & have the day open to do whatever...

Anne, I sometimes wonder if I would enjoy a van more than my class B - I hate that I don't get to use my Travelin' van that much yet it still needs to be maintained. Would love to only have 1 vehicle to deal with. Yesterday I noticed the driver door isn't locking right - took several tries to get it to stay locked. Guess that shows what a safe place I live in - it probably hasn't been locking right for a while. Will google it later today or tomorrow to see what I can do to fix it.

Donna, hope they get those channels back online for you.
Carol, sorry to hear that you took a fall - be careful! I'm loving the rain that we've been getting here - they said this is the highest rainfall in a single month since 2010! Hoping its a new trend for all of CA.

I'm cooking black-eyed peas today - from scratch - hopefully they'll be edible. I have a couple of cans of them just in case...
That's it beside continuing to clean/organize my closet.

I am having a relaxing day today, although I will do some vacuuming--missed some spots the other day and am going to have my cousins pick my up on Tuesday, so need to have this place cleaned up. I'm all packed up to fly out to Ohio on Wednesday, so I hope my flights go well.

Enjoying the chilly nights! Makes it SO much easier to sleep, but had crazy dreams last night. And yes, I did remember to take all my pills! I sometimes forget my night pills, which causes me to not sleep well, but checked and I did take them last night and this morning. Nice and sunny today. Making reservations for Colorado for July 1, and missed the one site available in the campground I wanted--darn. So will try again for another site tomorrow morning.

Good gracious, it's 2017! I did remember to say Rabbits, but I'm not sure it was the first thing I said. Lots of home fireworks on this block, and Drew was really upset. Poor boy, not a good start to the New Year for him. But it's sunny today, so we'll have some fun in the park!

Good morning and Happy New Year. I actually remembered rabbits before wishing Nicky a happy new year (we had a quite evening at home).
No big plans today but probably need to chase a few dust bunnies around and do some washing.
Made a pot of soup yesterday but lunch today will be blackened peas, turnip greens and corn bread. Trying everything I can think of to improve luck for the new year.

Good morning and Happy New Year to everyone!

I went downstairs just at midnight and my roommate and her husband yelled "happy New Year" to me. I yelled "rabbits" back to them. They just looked at me puzzled and said "what???". I told them it was for good luck! They probably thought I had been drinking!

Raining here this morning. No big plans today. After a 9 hour work day yesterday (to cover part of the shift for the gal who quit the night before, plus my shift) I am still tired. Need to do some laundry.

So disappointed that the Rose Parade is not on today! I have to work tomorrow morning so will miss it but my roommate will record it for me to watch later. I was there in person 6 years ago. That was an interesting experience! Loved looking at all the floats afterward, up close, to see all the detail put into decorating them! One day I want to volunteer to help decorate a float!

Have been looking at things online to get to furnish and decorate my new room when I move. WIth this place already furnished, I feel like a "guest" here. With all my own new stuff, it will feel more like my own place. One more month!!

Some of my resolutions... Moving back to Cali is a big one already in the works! Will join meet-up groups for hiking, camping, golf, etc. Maybe start dating... . Lots of exploring. I might go back to school for a new career...looking into that for next fall.

Darn, I forgot Rabbits and I was up well past midnight. I wanted to start my black-eyed peas at midnight and I forgot that my big crock pot was in the camper. It was raining so hard that the TV signal was off. It finally slacked off enough for me to get to the camper. We are under a flood watch until tomorrow but it's not raining now. Everything is very wet again.

Donna, DirecTv is probably fighting with the local stations. We have that ever so often. For the longest time our NBC station was out of Jackson, MS. There is a NBC station in Lake Charles and one in Baton Rouge. The news from those stations would have been more relevant to us than Mississippi. I'm sure you won't get a credit unless you raise hell with them.

Guess I better get my cabbage dish mixed up. The recipe says to cook it in a rice cooker. It is going to make so much I'm not sure I can get it all in the one I have. Some might have to go in the oven.

Enjoying SS rides and wildlife including manatees yesterday. Trying to read on here each day, but I'm behind with that. I won't be arriving at the Hardee Lake GTG until Tuesday. Donna, please don't wash RT! Even if you don't, my rig will still be much dirtier from all the dirty trees - need to find a car wash!

Happy New Year, Everyone! My wish is for all of you to do the travels you dream of and each of you stays healthy. I remembered rabbits when the gunfire woke me at midnight! I watched the ball drop on CNN at 9:00 and went to bed around 10:30. Exciting New Year's Eve!

Happy New Year Everyone !! Pulling out of the RV park tomorrow to start full timing. Closed on the house last Wednesday and settled into the KOA park here in Tucson. Rearranged and put things away. What a relief and a great way to start a new year. Hope you all have a Happy and Healthy New Year. Looking forward to meeting some of you.
