Thanks, girls! A huge disappointment for me, it was. But I have noticed that whenever anyone says "JUMP", no matter what the context, I refuse to do so! My mother told me I came out like that, and she learned to 'make suggestions' rather than give me commands! Perhaps this was just a way more graphic example of my reluctance to jump on command in all aspects of life? At least that is how I learned to cope with what I termed a 'failure'....I convinced myself that I was just being true to myself!

We went to a ballon glow in NC several years back. It was cool. My friend and I went up in a tethered balloon, only about 50' off the ground. That was neat but I don't know as I'd like a longer ride without a helmet. What really bugged me was the heat from the burners! I thought my hair would catch on fire or melt -- a horrible feeling! Glad you enjoyed your ride!

We had been warned to wear hats, but it was so cold that morning we were glad of that warm air. I hardly noticed it at all, but there were only 5 of us in the balloon, including the pilot. Maybe you were more crowded and in the middle? We were all around the sides.
