Wicked & Echo Day 1

Left the house at 2:30edt, stopped and returned the filter kit and 3 bottles of tranny fluid mom bought and also fueled up. It is now about 6 minutes till 7cdt. Just had dinner at Ryan's and we're on the road again. We've gone about 180 miles so far. Going to be a loooong trip, lol. Especially since mom wants to take the scenic routes/secondary highways/etc as much as she can. I may snap a few pics if I spy anything interesting. This will be my longest road trip (in something other than a road tractor).

We may spend the night at a motel as it's about the time we would be needing to start setting up camp and we're not tired enough to stop. Mom says she wants to get west of Nashville before she stops. We're crammed in here like sardines but when we get the chance there's a couple things in the back of the blazer that we'll put on the trailer to free up some space. Hopefully then we'll be able to lean my seat back so one of us can rest if we're tired.

Mom says we're dragging entirely too much stuff with us. Gonna hafta pair down even more. My bulk is clothes and craft stuff. We both left a few things with the kids (David and Jenny), like our box fans and a storage cart I'd kept for my fabrics. I got thinking the other day that if I tried to stuff myself into a 20 footer I wouldn't be able to do it with the amount of stuff I have. I'd hafta go longer and pare down more. But this is our first go at it and we'll get better as we go along, I'm sure.

Mom says we'll check in later. Love to all!

We are happy to finally be on the road.

We do NOT miss our rotten old jobs. Do miss some of our co-workers tho. Mom found out the other day that all of the collections agents and all of the people from our training class for mortgage are being transferred to another building across town. Our old class is going to a new department there but our friend Wendy doesn't know what department yet. What a bunch of bullpucky to change their department! As far as the other building, they really needed the extra space. It was so hard finding a parking spot, even early in the morning!!

Mom is yawning like crazy. We just left Gordonsville. Just saw a sign that said we're 35 mi from Nashville.

Thank you for all the well wishes and thoughts!

Huggz to all and Echo says "Huwwo!!!"

I'm so happy for you !!! This has been a long time coming.
I hope you both can relax and enjoy your journey - you don't have to see everything this time, God willing there'll be many opportunities to see the sites.

Happy Trails to both of you gals! Gosh, it's hard to believe that it was about one year ago that a group of us met at Crossville, TN for the GTG!! And now both of you are on the road. How exciting! Like the others, I can't wait to hear more about your trip.

So glad you checked in to let us know your whereabouts. Very excited for you - both on your journey and that you will get to spend the summer with one of the finest ladies I know, Sparkle. Life will certainly not be dull.

Thank you all for your encouragement and the woohoos, lol!

Lotus, it doesn't even seem like it's been a year!! The time has flown! If anyone had told us then what we'd be doing now we would have said "we wish!!" And yet, here we are! Or, should I say, here we go! LOL

Thank you again to all of our rv'n sistahs!! :P

One more "woo-hoo!" from me. You two have a wonderful trip. You'll figure out how much you need (and don't!) as you get your "road legs." I usually don't relax into a trip until the second or third day ... so settle in and have a wonderful journey.
