Christmas Weekend Friday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Christmas Weekend Friday

Morning all,

Well, we have reached the big weekend. Going to be a lot of people traveling. I'm not one of them. May just be heading down the road about 35 -40 miles but not hat's all. Watching the storm that's heading this way for late Christmas Day though. Having a warm up here and snow is melting. Won't lose it, but it is settling down quite a bit. Sun was really warm yesterday.

Off to Chiropractor for me and vet for Piper this morning. Due for an annual shot. Put the bed back up in. Spare bedroom yesterday and touched up a couple of spots I missed when painting thevother day. But not before dropping the container of paint on my kitchen floor, resulting in paint all over the floor, spattered on dishwasher and cabinets   Ton of paper towels, rag and a pile later, got it all cleaned up. Also managed to have a light bulb break on me too, while changing it. Not a good afternoon

Hope you all have a better day than that today.

Good morning Sue and rosemary and all who come later... very nice cool 62 this morning but it's going to warm up and will be 82 or so on Christmas day not another cool down for one whole week after that... guess I'll be just playing around here I will do some work but not a whole lot after all it is Christmas... I think I would like to make a few more rag quilts like they just made for my great-grandson so I'm going to cut those blocks out I had to go get a new rotary blade yesterday... got everything I'm going to make myself for Christmas dinner got a thick ham slice going to make my sweet potatoes store-bought mashed potatoes by Bob Evans maybe some brussel sprouts and I'm going to use some store bought box stuffing ...never made box stuffing in my life... so that's what I'm going to be doing on and off for the next few days I think I might go over to the beach on Christmas morning for the sunrise but everybody have a good one have fun whatever you're doing and where you're at...& B safe donna

Turned my rental car in yesterday, but should have stopped for milk. Got everything else I need. I might go out tomorrow morning, although I hate to face crowds, so might either live without it or go out this afternoon. Hate to undo hookups since I have sewer. Oh well. Poor planning.

Went to Marie Selby Gardens yesterday, which is always a nice thing to do. My son called me there via Facetime so I got to see kids open their gifts and then I walked around and showed him orchids and other exotic plants like the ones that eat insects. He has always liked the carnivorous plants. If any of you get to Sarasota, it is a great place to spend a few hours, but you need a car as there is absolutely no RV parking--very cramped even for cars.

Going to do some bike riding again today. Weather is perfect--sunny and low 80s today. Good travels to all who are traveling, and have a better day today, Sue!

Casey slept 'till 6:30 this morning!!! Unheard of. Both Valerie and I had naps yesterday, but I still slept until Casey wakened me this AM!

Catherine, hope you got the kids off OK at Lax. It must have been a "zoo" out there.

We are in a lull between rain storms. They are expecting snow at 4500 feet for the next storm to arrive tomorrow. The little mountain towns are excited as snow brings gobs of people up to play.

I do have to go food shopping today as it is my night to cook dinner. Val and I take turns.

Sue, you had one heck of a day - maybe time for a little break. :)

Yes, Lyn, I got the kids off. The news had been airing such horror stories about LAX that we allowed plenty of time - so much so they arrived 4 hours ahead of their flight! We didn't have any problems getting in or out of the airport. Gaby said it only took 20 minutes to get thru security. I'm sure they in the air by now. So excited for both of them - their first Christmas together with their french family.

Stores are crazy here. Going to walk Sadie down to Sprouts for a few last minute items - then relaxing, relaxing, relaxing!
