Hello all,
I've been a member of this forum for many years, but haven't posted in too long. Started fulltime RVing in 2007 with a 23-ft Forest River Lexington Motorhome and a 2002 Ford Ranger Pickup, both of which are still running well. I began workamping in Kanab, Utah, then up to the Trinity Alps in Northern California, Montana, Kansas, South Dakota, Washington, and now Southern California. Right now I'm at the Desert View Tower, overlooking Anza Borrego Desert State Park, about 7 miles from Jacumba Hot Springs, California. I've returned here almost every year and now have a wonderful spot and good friends. Last winter I trained to become a volunteer at the State Park Visitors Center in Borrego Springs - fun!
My son and his wife live in Oregon, where I lived for 35 years, and still consider it my home. Hoping to return there as soon as possible, perhaps even by spring. In the meantime, I'm trying to build up the $$$$$ for that. Hitting the big 70 Monday, and still trying to decide whether or not to stop counting after that.
I loved seeing that Sparkles still has a place here. She was a wonderful woman and a good friend! Miss her a lot.
Anyway, I'd love to catch up with all of you.
Chris Smith
