Sure is windy here in Arizona so I am glad we have our campfire here. I'm ready for a chilli dog and some marshmallows Also ready just to chill for awhile and watch the fire. Sure glad you keep track of stuff for us Lori!! The "count" would be lost without you!! LOL

Carolyn--don't know if I have your cell # or your land phone # so in case it is your landline, stay in touch. Where are you basing after you close. We will be heading home Friday---Sat. at the latest so we should be home Tues. or so. I still have to go back to Texas the 25th.

Ah, the fire feels toasty and so welcome. The days here are getting warmer but the nights are still cool. I'm on vacation this week, painting my bedroom in an effort to get one more thing done in a long list of things to be done before I sell this house, buy an RV and retire. I'm one task closer to my goal. Oh my aching feet, back----

Missed morning check in due to early appointment today.
Buurrr. Had to stop by fire for few minutes to chase away the chill. Our sunshine still has not returned but at least it is not raining (another round due Sat. & Sun.) and I might find a little dry wood for the fire reserve by Fri. Hope the sun will rejoin us here tomorrow.

Power has been restored over most of the TN valley except for a few spots in and around Scottsboro. Clean up from the storms will last much longer. Several insurance companies have set up shop under tents in public parking lots to help those needing to file claims. So many trees down or broken; I hate when the world looses a tree. Unfortunately, I may have to contribute to that loss by removing a couple of trees that are too close to the house.

Ava & Soos: hope both of you are feeling much better. Soos, think about your necklace while you fall asleep. Sometimes the mind can help you locate something that way; at least it worked for me a couple of times.

I'm growing tired of medical tests here lately- 3 so far this week. Not sure which is worse - tests or waiting for results.
One area is still showing tiny gains in spite of other of life little interruptions; rarely use my cane any more and getting better at not dragging foot. Sparkle's suggestion of keeping track of steps with pedometer has been a big help. Maybe it is knowing you have to check those numbers every night. Long way to go to beat the couch potato standard however. Nonetheless, I actually am beginning to think I might make that milestone too.

Taking a little chocolate from shed. Stay warm.

Fire feels really good here this morning---I'm home for a sick day to get over this 'southern crud' I caught on the way home from FL. After using inhalers and having coffee, am feeling good enough to get some things done around here! I am leaving some kindling to ignite the fire---got it from the shop at school. I'll also leave a log or two from my porch, as it's time (I hope!) to clear the logs off the porch for the summer.

Bluepinecones-----I DID dream of finding my necklace on the floor of the bathroom, next to the toilet, and when I ran to look, it wasn't there. BUT, suddenly, after getting ready for bed last night, I caught a glimmer of what I thought was a piece of aluminum foil in the middle of my bedroom carpet. When I bent down to pick it up, there was Jonathan!!! His chain is gone, but it was the seagull I really wanted back! I still can't imagine how he suddenly appeared right in the middle of where I had used a flashlight to look many times. He must have been caught up in some article of my clothing, although I shook them all out more than once trying to find him. I am ecstatic to have him back, and will put him on a better chain!

Hope you all have a fun day....I will add some pictures in the general room later as I discovered I have crocuses up today!!

It is Jonathan, he could have flown on his own..... I smelled chilly dog and choc. Probably should not eat them right after one another but if I sit long enough to let the first one settle. I won't say which went first. Am checking e-mail after work now and heading out for our monthly Kennel Club meeting..... with the chilly dog under my belt I won't have to eat as much at the reataurant.....most of us order food and eat before or during the meeting. I don't have far to travel but many of the members do. Hope the spring sinus troubles decrease. Personally, I am just fighting minor sinus congestions and some allergy stuff. After the sinus infection in January that knocked me on my butt, I don't want to go any farther down that road if i don't have to.

See you all tomorrow after work.

I just grabbed a chair to sit awhile and rest. We have been packing stuff up and will probably head out Sat. morning early. We are having dinner tomorrow night with a couple friends from Michigan. I think Bash and I are going to make a quick trip to the Flee Market and we have to do the paperwork for storing the rv and load up. Fire sure is relaxing. I better stick with hot chocolate because anything else would knock me out tonight!! LOL!!

I had to clean out the fire ring and move the leaves and sticks the heavy winds had blown in, but the coals are glowing now and it is ready for the s'mores and any other treats you might bring. I figured the kitchen was closed again but the campfire stays open all day long :) I was so glad to hear from Echo. I understand the frustration with not having reliable internet connections. I don't have an air card yet and don't plan on getting on until I start traveling a little heavier. I begin to feel disconnected and left out of the world I know, when I can't touch base to my bank, favorite forum and blogs, and e-mails.... Work is going..... About time to take the three week pictures if I can convince my body to get of the couch....hummmm. Might not be able to stop in tomorrow. Herschel, Remi and I are invited to the annual volunteer's dinner at the nursing home. They both have their ties to wear :)

just stopping by for a visit, the light from the fire is a nice ambiance, don't need the
heat for awhile but the night glow is awesome. We hit our first triple digit temperatures
today, it was 100 and actually about two weeks early. :( Will be time to hit the pool!

I do my best work on imaginary cleaning :) I found a poster years ago that had an studious, adorable kitten looking out with the words..."Work fascinates me. I can look at it for hours." I hung it in my room for years at school. It was interesting who figured out what it meant and who had no clue. Did I mention on the "under the blanket" thread that I like to ponder stuff and figure things out.

Well, it's offical, I'm houseless! I need a margarita next to the fire, oooh, mmmm, both are so good. Fernie, you have my cell number and it's still good.

26 days to sell my house, how's that for a horrible economy? Oh, BTW, it was a cash sell. Made it so sweet!!!

I'm planning on working until about October so I can save up some money to play with before I no longer have a strong salary. Planning on taking a few extra trips this spring/summer. Finding a place for everything is now my challenge. Guess, I'll be planning another yard sale for that "stuff" I thought I would need but have no room for. tee hee :P

CONGRATULATIONS, SUNSHINE!

I can't believe that FAST sale, and with cash to boot!! You are one lucky woman! So many of us are making life-altering moves, and with gusto, at that! It's neat to see so many women taking the bits in their teeth and tally-hoing! Gives me courage to be sure that I don't back off on my decision to retire in June of 2010. I will watch you all with great admiration and interest as you head out on your own to explore the world!
