Cool Sunday Morning

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Cool Sunday Morning

Postby asirimarco » Sun Dec 04, 2016 8:39 am

Good Morning to All I'm up at 6:00 and wearing fleece long sleeves and pants. And thinking about turning on the little heater. It is cold here! Had more rain last night and heavy wind. Today is supposed to be 85 - and we're supposed to meet friends in the Plaza for outdoor dinner and music. If Bill was up now the furnace would be running.
We are managing to keep busy do nothing. Had one of those days yesterday, seemed like in the morning everything went wrong. Even the sunset we drove to the look out to see - fizzled out. Oh well. And stopped at Burger King an there was a kids birthday party going on - ate quick and came home to quiet. You all have a great day.

Good morning, Carol, and all who follow. I am sitting in my RV, car in tow, outside my church, waiting for it to open. Leaving from here to Ocala, Silver Springs SP. I had a noisy morning walk with Thistle. A cacaphony of migrating robins have arrived in McIntosh. There are hundreds in the trees, on the ground, and flying around, making all kinds of noise. It's going to be a lovely day today in Central Florida.

Afternoon ladies ~~~

Not a lot going on in the Chitown area, except for snow. Weather this A.M. said maybe 3" where I am, but already looks like 4" - 5" on top of the fence and it's supposed to keep snowing until maybe 7 PM. Getting ready to bundle up and shovel for the first time today. Might not say winter on the calendar yet, but sure looks like it from where I'm sitting.

Went to 3 dealers yesterday trying to get an idea of a new TT floor plan. Would like to go a tad bigger with rear living, since it seems like every time I camp for a week or so, I'm stuck inside on at minimum 1 rainy day. Think I found a layout I like, and the loss on Colt is about what I'd expect, so it's doable. Saw 1 layout that I really really liked, a bit longer, but if I retire sooner rather than later, I'd be happy to full time in it. At the high end of the dry weight limit, but I'd still have about another 2,000# to spare. ah to dream. . .

Doubt I mentioned, by my goofy boss quite 3 weeks ago, so waiting to see how a new one will be. Depending, that may push me over the edge to retire sooner rather than later. Have been working on the house and fixing some minor things, and have a couple of painter names for the Spring. Was time for a good once over any way. Stay tuned as they say.

Getting wordy here ~ guess it's my way of procrastinating. I'm not ready to shovel yet!!!

Have a good day everyone and stay safe on the roads where ever you are. Have fun at the FL GTG for all who are going. Watch out for gaters. :o

I made it home from my campout about noon. It rained off and on all weekend but we had fun. Thursday and Friday nights were cold and the heat ran all night. Last night wasn't as cold and I even got a little warm. I passed through an area that flooded for the last big rain and all the fields, ditches and bayous are full. The Vermilion River is to the top in town. I sure hope we don't have flooding again. Some of these people are just now getting their houses fixed. The weather channel shows rain all the way to San Antonio headed this way. There is a 100% chance of rain tomorrow.

Guess I better make another load from the camper. The floors are going to need a good cleaning if it ever stops raining. We were tracking in mud for 4 days.

The day is over !! Tomorrow I move on to my sisters for a couple of days. Tonight I am totally alone is this cg . Took a nice walk, back hurt but managed fairly decent one. Unhooked water hose, will have some cleaning to do before pulling slide in, in no rush in the morning. Always able to have nicer walks in the mornings so I just can't make myself leave here early. I have thoroughly enjoyed my week here, hate to leave :( It is so peaceful out here and quiet . I'm used to being alone and the quiet but this is so much prettier out here, oh well I'll be back :D

Christmas movie coming on, just came in and wanted to tell someone of the peace and beauty I find here. Come for a gtg out here if possible, you'll love it too !!

Off here,

Had the day off and went to church. Found a Unity church not too far away which was really nice. Will go there on Christmas Eve.

Just got home from a meeting at work. Bad news...they are cutting our hours back a lot. The franchisee opened a new shop just a mile and a half away and that took a chunk of our business so it has been really slow since then (not too bright! ). So now I am down to only 20 hours per week which I cannot live on. After the meeting I told my manager and new general manager that I need more hours and am willing to work another day or two each week at another shop if they need me. The GM said there are two shops that have stylists going on maternity leave soon so she will put me at one of those shops for awhile. That will help some.

Have tomorrow off with no plans (I was originally scheduled to work). Will get some reading done.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

CArol, your post inspired me to get out in the van & go somewhere - even just for 1 night! I keep telling myself, I have my haven in my apartment, but I've blown the entire weekend running around & didn't really accomplishng much & I'm definitely not 'rested'. Time for a little hiatus. Not sure where or how, but your post has assured me being in the apartment & being in a campground is different - now just to find somewhere close by to go. Thanks for the inspiration. Simple & sweet.
Hope everyone survives the rain & snow that's pounding various areas. While we need the rain, I truly appreciate not worrying about snow.
Take care my dear friends, Catherine
PS. You snuck in there while I was proofing my post, Barbie. Sorry to hear they're cutting your hours. Hopefully you'll get some in at those other stores - I'll keep you in my prayers.
