Good Morning Everyone !!! I'm enjoying my stay very much down south Fl where it's not totally ruined by progress came down to get organized after just tossing items in and fleeing my home due to such heavy smoke. I love it out here at this park. By myself for awhile, now 2others in here. Week end probably fill up.

I doubt I'll be first today, anytime I try someone jumps in a bit ahead of me but wanted to wish you all a good day. Sarah, hope that stormy time has come and gone and left you intact there!! Some are getting ready for GTG in Silver River, wish I could be up there too, but pocket can't handle these St Pks here after fixing two sinking floors in last 6 months. I want a summer trip west this next summer !!! I did sign for Myakka as I've never been there and through the years have heard good things about it, so nosy has to attend that GTG thinking of a night or so at Hillsborough because there will be some there I've never met and would like too, I'll just try to catch one of their walk ins.

Time to get moving, kind of windy but made for good walking, might try another shortly, but dishes first

Good Morning, CArol and all who follow or read. Cold here in SW Arizona this morning, but the sun is out and it'll be warming up shortly.

I can tell I haven't had real cable tv in awhile. I spent last night jumping back and forth between hgtv and the Food Network lol. But I did have to see who moved on in The Voice. I didn't agree with who America saved last night. Not that he doesn't have a good voice. They all do. Buy he wasn't my favorite to save. Oh well.

Not sure what I'll do today, if anything. Maybe go on my blog and fix the names to birds I have wrong.

CArol, not while you are there for privacy reasons, but I would love to know where you are parked!!

I had a very enjoyable day at Bok Tower near Lake Wales yesterday. Came home and went directly to the laundry room - washed one load and at $3 a load, I brought it home to hang outside this morning! Also have defrosted the freezer. This afternoon I will do Christmas cards.

JudyJB, thanks for the heads up about the Verizon service at Midway. That'll drive me nuts for a week!

Hope Sarah's area is done with the storms! The Tennessee fire is so horrible especially to think it was started by a human! We must remember our blessings each day.

I'm getting a tiny bit of data service on my jetpack--enough to check things and even post here. Last night it even let me upload some small photos to my blog--vvveeeerrrryyyy slowly, however. The phone, however, is useless.

You only have to drive a couple of miles down the road to the Oasis Visitor Center to get some service. Or you can go further west to Kirby Storter Park. It looks like a roadside rest stop, but it has a one-mile boardwalk that is worth some time because there are ponds at the end with birds. See my blog for yesterday's post. Anyway, there are still plenty of spots here at Midway! Very, very dark at night, and they tell you to be careful going outside at night because of wandering alligators. Haven't seen any during the day yet.

Nights have been a bit warmer here, but still OK for sleeping. Nice to have electric service and all the comforts of home so far out in the middle of the Everglades.

Carol, it is REALLY unspoiled around here!!!

We had a couple of lines of storms come through here last night. I don't know how much rain we got but there is standing water in a few places. I think Sarah is still in a tornado watch because there is a red box from New Orleans all the way through North Alabama. The weather channel says there were deaths from tornadoes in Alabama and Tennessee. I sure hope the areas with the fires got enough rain to put the fires out.

I need to go to the grocery store and get what I need for the campout. If I was more organized I could go over today but I have too much to do to get ready to leave. By the time I got to the last campout 5 miles from my house I had 9,000 steps on my pedometer.

Good morning
Guess it wouldn't be fair if I complained about the cold, but for
Arizona standards, I'm frozen!! Ran out of propane yesterday evening
of course, so one empty is in the car to get a refill on the way
back to work. My electric works good too but I like the real furnace
for these extra cold nights.
So glad Sarah is ok, too bad about all the damage in town and of
course Gatlinburg is a really sad situation.
Tomorrow will be rabbits day, hope I remember in the morning.

It is evening now and for the first time in 25 hours, there are no tornado watches or warnings. It was a very long night for me as severe thunderstorms and tornadoes danced thru the area. One of the suspected tornadoes passed so close to my house I could hear it - if you've ever been thru a tornado, it is a sound you never forget. That one and three others over the city did not touch down. Only one touched down near me, an EF-2 per weather service this morning. An EF 2 tornado spawns winds in the 113 to157 mph range. I'm still a bit frazzled but no damage other than a lot of limbs down. Did not get to check on Magic or the rental house today but will do that tomorrow.

Years ago a tornado pulled a pole barn in the pasture straight up and turned it upside. It only broke one rafter in the barn. The poles were at least 3 feet in the ground. When people say it sounds like a freight train going by that's what I heard. It was night so we didn't find the damage until the next morning. We were lucky the tornado didn't hit the house because the barn was only about 100 yards from the house.
