Good Morning to Everyone - Am I the first one up? Sun is just rising here in Mazatlan. Today we're taking a bunch of friends to the little town of El Quelite for brunch. Excited to go there and see all our friends there.
We are keeping busy so far. Bill had eye appointment yesterday an will be getting his new glasses tomorrow. Also had his very old, favorite watch cleaned and a new battery put in it. No one in states will touch it to clean it. Also dropped our laundry off.
Went to the central market and got lots of hugs and welcome homes. Seems we know more people here than "back home" While eating lunch a couple from Canada that we know stopped by to say hi.
Still hot and humid here though, looks to be cooling down by tomorrow into low 80s. And rain expected over the weekend!!
I try to do the bog every day, mostly just about life here in Mazatlan and surrounding areas.

Hi Carol - Guess the Eastern gals are sleeping in this morning. Only 40 degrees on my patio this morning when I went out for the paper. Only expected to get into 60's later in the day. Winter came fast and furious to Southern California a couple of weeks ago and seems to be settling in for the duration. At least it's not rainy with the cold like a few days ago. Santa Ana's supposed to return later in the week and it will warm up into 70's. Sure sounds like you are enjoying reuniting with friends and keeping busy.

I'm at Midway Campground in the Big Cypress Preserve, right next to the Everglades. There were warnings when I checked in to not walk outside without a flashlight to see where I was going because alligators wander around at night. Not going out anyway at night. Have not seen any alligators anyway.

I have a tiny bit of data cell service but really no actual voice cell service so my phone does not work. Last time I was here I drove down the road once a day to get service, but I think I can manage anyway here. Will head down the road tomorrow anyway to stop at a couple of boardwalks. Plan to go to Shark Valley later this week to ride my bike and see the birds and more alligators.

I loaded up with groceries and gas before I got here because no groceries for 50 miles. Going to be here for 8 days so refrigerator is stuffed!

Well, a bit of sunshine this morning -- I'll take it! Mostly errands today -- there's a book on dog agility waiting at the library.

Good morning! Slept 12 hours the night before and only 6 last night.

It is chilly here! Need to wash my warmer blanket and get that on my bed. At least the sun is back out today.

Have the day off again. Have a few more things on my list of things to do but will take it easy for most of the day. No money right now to go anywhere. Have just enough to pay my rent this week.

I realize it's late afternoon. Winds were less this morning so I got on the road early. I'm at the Escapees Park in Benson for a week. Already planned an outing to Tombstone with a friend for Thursday. Might just be a bum most days. It'll be cold tonight, but not nearly what Deming will get.
