Black Friday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Black Friday

Morning,

Well, the big day has arrived for those who await it. I'm not one of them. Don't have anybody to shop for anyway. Will pick up some new toys and treats for the fur kids, not that they know one day from the next anyway  Santa already came early and graced them with two new dog beds, the which of they are in love with. But I will be heading to town in awhile to pick up some bird seed which is on sale for weekend and run a few errands. Black Friday shoppers will be long gone.

Hope you all had a nice day yesterday. I''m sure we all ate too much. Back to normal eating for me now, no holiday goodies for me. Gotta watch the sugar and cholesterol. Y'all have a nice day.

Good Morning to All. No shopping for us today either. We'll be on the road soon. And should be in Mazatlan in our favorite spot in our favorite RV park this afternoon. Soon after we park we will head to Fat Fish Restaurant for RIBS. After that we'll just settle in for a while.
Spent Thanksgiving on the road and the night in a truck stop behind a gas station. Got locked in at 7:30 and gate opened at 6:00 They also have a really good restaurant and a Subway here, We ate in the restaurant and I wish I hadn't forgot my camera. I have never seen so much food in my life, we both ordered half orders of milenesa -breaded thin sliced beef - we have enough left over for three more meals. And it was very good.
Have the generator running now, making coffee and taking chill off. Soon be on the road. Wrote about yesterdays drive in the blog.

Had a horrible night with lots of strange dreams and woke up with a headache and sinuses stuffed up. Cause? Well, I did it again. Forgot to take my pills last night! I do this about once every couple of months, and you would think I would figure it out by now that when I am not feeling well in the middle of the night I should check to see if I have taken all my meds.

Headed off this morning to see my aunt and uncle in Venice briefly. They are here just for a couple of days and then headed back to Georgia. I want to give them a couple of books and just check on them. Then I will stop at the grocery store and see if I can get some fresh turkey thighs to freeze for another day. This is the only time of year you can get fresh turkey parts.

Good shopping everyone. I am doing mine online and having stuff shipped, or at least I will as soon as I can figure out what grandkids want!

I wish I could find turkey thighs around here but have never seen any. If I go to Lafayette I will look in a different grocery store from what we have. Last night on one of the local TV stations one of the reporters did a piece on a place that sells smoked butter turkeys and deboned smoked turkey rolls. No telling what they sell for, but they sure looked good. Some of the specialty meat markets have the Tur-duck-ens or how ever it is spelled. They stuff a chicken in a duck in a turkey. The last time I heard they were about $75. My younger son always wanted me to cook a duck for the holidays. There isn't enough meat on a duck for 2 people.

I was suppose to get the special black Friday paper yesterday with the sale ads. I didn't get that and they haven't delivered the Friday paper either. If I didn't hate having to go out and look for a Sunday paper I would cancel my subscription. Not that I am going shopping today or tomorrow. The traffic was terrible on Wednesday. It is going to be crazy from now to Christmas.

Donna, I don't know if you have a place for hanging clothes but I put a thin 4 drawer storage thing for small things in my closet. I keep my underwear and other small things in it. I found out that if you need something taller you can add drawers from another unit or remove some. I need to go through the clothes in my RV closet. I think the shorts and bathing suits can go for now.
