HAPPY THANKSGIVING everyone. Hope you all have a wonderful day whether you are alone, with family, friends or whatever. Every year at this time I think how thankful I am for all of you on this forum. Many of you I have personally met and many I have yet to meet. But the caring, sharing, advice and whatnot from all of you has been wonderful. Although we are scattered all over the country and even into Canada, we all share a common bond and that is the love of RV's and traveling. Thank you so much everyone.

It's a white holiday here in northern Michigan. Been snowing since late morning yesterday and is still snowing. Being it's a fine wet snow it is taking a long time to add up, but my guess is there is probably 5 inches out there. So the snowblower will be getting it's first run of the season.

Nothing special planned here today. Will probably go out for a buffet dinner at one of our local restaurants and just putter around the house. I finished painting my den room and have moved my stuff in here, so now am getting things set up the way I want them. Yesterday I panted the inside of the closet and will be getting that organized over the next few days. Plan is to put a shelf tower in the middle and double rod my jackets and coats on each side. Not sure if I am going to buy the shelf tower or make my own. Once that's done, then I can unpack the last two boxes I have s sitting here since I moved.

So that's the latest news from this place, what's the latest at yours?

Happy Thanksgiving Sue and everyone else to follow... well I'm getting very bad this morning so I'm going to eat breakfast like I did at the restaurant toast eggs home fries and bacon I forgot to buy coffee though... I got this turkey to roast and now I don't want to cook it anyway everybody have a great day

Happy Thanksgiving! Yes, this is a group to be thankful for.

I declined an invitation for today - planning to get Christmas cards started (when I find them). Went to WalMart to pick up my new eye glasses yesterday (they are terrific) so picked up some ham and baked beans for today.

50 years ago was my first Thanksgiving away from home. Steven and I spent the day preparing for our wedding and wrapping Christmas gifts. The radio was playing and they kept talking about turkey dinner - we finally decided to go to Denny's for a hot turkey sandwich. We did go home that weekend and Mother fixed Thanksgiving dinner.

Happy Thanksgiving. Dinner at oldest son and family late this afternoon so happy that I'm not cooking! He always sends leftovers home with me so life is good! Young son is working 12 pm to 8 pm so his family is going to daughter in law's family. He'll get leftovers too. It's almost impossible to get the whole family together so this works! I have to second Sue's thankfulness for all of you. Some I've met and many I haven't but am grateful for all the support I've gotten from you all.

Where ever you are and how ever you spend your day, I hope you have a good one and travel safe.

Happy Thanksgiving for All - in a few minutes like Beth we will be on the road too. We're heading only 170 miles to the little beach town of Huatabampito - the beach of the beautiful sunsets. We'll stay there for a few days then head on down to Mazatlan for a month or so.
Probably only have a sandwich or salad for dinner.

A quite day at home on my agenda. Will put a pot of soup on to cook shortly but one meal today will be a turkey sandwich (went to deli yesterday and got enough turkey for two sandwiches).

Happy Thanksgiving from me, also! I miss the local Detroit Thanksgiving Day Parade, but otherwise, all is well. I spent yesterday at the Audubon Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary. It was a great day because almost no one was there. Not too many birds, but fun to focus on the plants. Check out my blog for photos.

Today, I made myself some crepes for breakfast and have a couple of turkey thighs to cook for later. They are hard to find most times of the year, so I got two extra to freeze--huge! Other than that, just some laundry to do today and lots of work.

Oh, and my mosquito bites are much better--not itchy and getting paler. No bites in the swamp because there are no mosquitos or no-see-ums in the swamp. Little minnows eat larvae, so they keep the place mostly bug free. Hope the bites I have stay better after I am done with the prednisone, however. Colder weather should be coming soon, so that should help.

Happy Thanksgiving Everybody from Kino Bay. There will be a feast here in the Rv park with two turkeys and a ham. Each camper is bringing a side dish and drinks. We all have much to be thankful for in this beautiful place. Enjoy today. Peggy

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We are nearing the end of the parade on tv and I need to head back to the kitchen to finish a few things. Hope those traveling have a safe travel day and at least get a turkey sandwich. And those with family and friends enjoy sharing love and fun with all. We will have a feast around 5 for the 3 of us with turkey bites for kitties.

I think it was 50 years ago that I cooked my first Turkey. I can't even remember how it came out. I can remember we had an apartment size stove. I was trying to clean some part of the stove standing at the sink and using oven cleaner. I got a chemical burn because I had the window open over the sink and the breeze was blowing the fumes on me. Nothing like being young and dumb.

I had every burner and the oven going this morning. I should have cooked the turkey breast yesterday but it wasn't thawed out. The oven needed to be at 325 for the turkey and the chicken I needed to cook needed 375. I ended up having to cook the chicken longer.

Beth, if you are traveling Sunday I hope you are where there isn't much traffic. Watching the traffic jams on TV makes me glad I'm at home.
