Weighty Thread

Now that I've hit my goal weight and am on maintenance, I weigh-in only once a week, and today was the day. I'm happy to say that I've lost another lb! Their scale read 152.? My goal was 155 so I'm happy to still be able to loose more. Kinda like a buffer. I'm assuming that it's because I have been so active outdoors now that the weather has warmed up.

So how are all of you doing? I hope no one is getting discouraged. Just keep at it, you are sooo worth it! It's a powerful feeling to be in control of ones health.

I decided to coast for two weeks at 117. I dropped 1 more so I'm at 116. However Beth and I went to a Casino buffet tonight. I was on Round 5 before I gave up! We did walk all round the lake at the campground to work some of it off. Sounds as though we are all doing well. However even at 116 I still feel fat. Lets call it well covered!

Excellent reports from you three! For me, I am still going slowly. Did have excellent talk with DR though. He is still willing to let me work on cholesterol without meds, BUT had really big suggestion.....no animal products at all! I don't eat much meat anyway, but yogurt, cheese and eggs are mainstays for me. So will give it a try for 3 months, I really, really hope it works. And lost pounds will be a bonus. Any vegetarians or vegans out there?

I haven't eaten a dead cow or pig for 25 years. I eat very little chicken, in fact recently I have been going off it. I eat a lot of vegetables, yoghurt, fruit. Hardly ever eat bread, from choice, it just doesn't interest me.

You might also look into the Mediterranean Diet. This is a link to their web site. I think it sounds good.

Getting your daily allotment of protein is very important as well, so make sure you are getting it from some source.
