Great pics Liz. I had never heard of The Wave. Now I know and hope I can visit someday in hopes of winning the lottery to see it in person.

I can spend hours with these pictures. I applied once - and didn't win - didn't know what we were actually missing. And this I will go back to - need to find a partner, as I surely wouldn't want to get lost out there alone! I'm so glad you got to go and in case I never do get there - I will continue coming back again and again to marvel at these pictures.

Blaspheme here - I've been to the Grand Canyon several times, but it's not one of my top favorite places ... (although it's a place I believe everyone needs to viist) no desire to do the trip to the bottom you did - although I loved going with you ... but this ... oh, man ... this is spectacular and I'm so glad you and Diana won that lottery.

I am so amazed at the formations and the swirls ...the smoother parts remind me somewhat of
some of the areas in Yellowstone. did you have a means to track how many miles you walked total?

Absolutely gorgeous!! Took a break from watching every exciting election results but I think The Wave was so spectacular!! Who knew?? Thank you Liz - I could feel your excitement - I was excited seeing your pictures.

Such a beautiful place Liz. Wonderful that you & Diana were lucky lottery winners. Do you know exactly many miles out and back the trail was?
I've heard of the wave before, but for me, usually my Irish luck is no luck, so thanks for letting me live vicariously through you.

The hike out and back was about 6 miles. I think my Fitbit gave us a total of 8 miles, counting the walking around out there.
