The Morning After

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

The Morning After

Postby Colliemom » Thu Nov 03, 2016 6:37 am

Well, for those of you who follow the World Series, there's much joy in Chi town this morning and I'm sure a lot of people and kids, dragging off to work and school. 108 years is a long time between Championships. As they said this morning, the Model T was just released and there have been 18 President's in office. I didn't see the game myself. Was going to watch but got busy with Mahjong on here and forgot.

Off to get some blood work done this morning. Another thing off my annual "Wellness Check" as it's referred to when you are on Medicare. Just need to get mammogram done when I get the date. Neighbor coming over later to changevout couple light fixtures for me later to change out a couple light fixtures, so they will be done. After taking yesterday off for a morning appt., and then some out of town bumming, I''m ready to do something constructive today. Probably finish smoothing down the old glue on basement steps before new carpet comes on Monday. O'Sharon, you mentioned my always having some project going. I like to be outside and this time of year, a project gets me out here. I really do like working outside. But when th winter coming, time to work inside.

Loved reading all the posts the other day. Glad everybody's doing okay, keeping busy etc. Enjoyed the pic of Bronc in his costume. JudyJB, you have a great "office" to be working in. Peggy, glad you are doing so well and have a great winter in Mexico. Have a nice day everyone.

What a game last night. Cleveland is a class act... but ..

CUBS WIN! CUBS WIN! CUBS WIN!

I'm ecstatic.

On another note, Peaches has a birthday today. 9 years ago today Tips and I adopted her. Not knowing when she was born, I gave her this birthdate, so she is now 10. Love this girl.

Even I watched the game, I think a first as, I am not into sports but it was exciting!!
The dogs didn't care that we went to bed late they still woke me up at the same time.
Thinking about the 'Mule Train' adventure and hoping it is going well. Do they ride the mules back up or do they walk?

Happy Birthday sweet Peaches!

We watched it until the rain delay. Then Bill who isn't at all interested in baseball, went to bed to read and I turned the TV off to read. Thinking for sure the Indians would win. Turned the TV on to watch local news and was surprised to see the celebration. Wished I'd have left it on. Glad they pulled it off.
We will be pulling out in a couple hours - starting our yearly journey to Mexico. Not sure how far we will go today, but we're in no hurry. Won't cross into Mexico until Nov 21st. So we have some time to waste in Arizona. After doing all the in and out of the RV yesterday my parts are stiff and sore this morning. My leg bruise is getting lighter but bigger. Unless I poke it it doesn't hurt.
We have new neighbors, glad we got to meet them before we left. Our son sent a couple of his cleaning ladies here yesterday so we are leaving a nice clean house. Will only have some dust to come home to.
Just have to load the laptops and refrigerator stuff this morning. Then we're off. Hope it isn't as windy today as it was yesterday.
Take care if you are on the road.

I didn't watch the game but happy for them. I could sit and watch a rodeo for 3 hours and get more out of it than a baseball game.

I am making a rum cake for my dessert of the month. As soon as it comes out of the oven making 2 smaller bunt rum cakes for here. I don't think I could leave with a cake without one being here.

My son hasn't been feeling well for a couple of weeks. He's the one that had heart surgery in 2010. Yesterday when he got up he looked pale so I made him check his blood pressure. I thought it was kind of low for a man. I want him to go to the doctor but he would have to drive 60 miles to the nearest VA clinic and he doesn't think he could get an appointment for weeks. Don't you want to just shake men sometimes. He is going to New Jersey to spend a week with his son on Saturday. Not going to be a fun trip if he's sick.

Happy Birthday Peaches!

Good morning gals!

Happy birthday Peaches!

Off to work later and then have tomorrow off. No idea yet what I work Saturday thru next Friday. Hope the schedule is done today! Hate that it gets done at the last minute. Just can't plan ahead at all. Hopefully the new manager will be better about that. Oh, I do know that I have Wednesday off since I asked for the day after the election off to celebrate or mourn!

A friend of mine is in Tucson right now and I want to go down one day next week to see her. We worked together many many years ago and just reconnected this summer. I ran into her at Prince's Paisley Park after he died and it was turned into a shrine of sorts.

Having some issues with my right forearm. :( The inner forearm is completely numb from my thumb to my elbow but sometimes when I move my hand a certain way I get a zapping sensation in that area. Not a good thing. Wondering about carpel tunnel...

Had rain over night and supposed to be more today and tonight. Will settle the dust. My car is so filthy but can't run it thru a carwash with the cartop carrier on it and I have no place to put that if I take it off.

Hope you all have a great day! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good morning
I've never been into watching sports so no game for me.
Was on the road anyway. The motorhome is still in the shop
and the tow company that contracted the engine rebuild
sent us back home in his wife's personal vehicle,,,fairly new
Ford Expedition. When the RV is finished he will personally
drive it for delivery and therefore have his own vehicle to
get back. Kudos to Extreme Towing of El Paso. I did get in
late last night and of course morning came early.
Another chapter in my book of life is done. A few previews
into the next one but retirement is certainly looking good.
Y'all have a great day, be safe.

I could, but it is a lot of work to take it down and put it back up and refasten it. Ava offered to let me keep it at her place so I may do that.
