Last Friday of October

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Last Friday of October

Postby Colliemom » Fri Oct 28, 2016 6:25 am

God Morning,

Chilly out there but heading to mid 50's. First snowfall of the season, about one inch has melted away. Outside to work for me today. Need to get handrail put up for new steps on the back landing, while weather cooperates. So that's the plan today. Hope you all have a nice day, whatever you get into.

Mornin' Sue and all that follow ~~~
Snow by you?! Supposed to be around 70* here tomorrow. Weather is definitely odd to me this year. Finally saw some good fall colors yesterday in the morning, and in the afternoon, saw hundreds of sunflowers.

Not much going on here. I did get Colt covered last weekend with the help of BIL.

Go Cubbies! :D

Good Morning, It has been an unusual fall here too, it is supposed to be in the 80's this weekend!! The leaves have very little color and most are still green, hard to believe it is the end of October! I'm glad I was able to find heated indoor storage for Elsie again this year! I am thinking I should look into having some sort of charge for the batteries. I was lucky last year and just turning them off seem to work well, but they were new. Always something...
I have really been enjoying Liz's trip and so happy she and Diane won the WAVE lottery!!

Gmorning all:)

We have lottery winners among us? Liz, good for you & Diane:) I just realized I think it's getting close to your Grand Canyon mule ride? Can't remember who else is going besides you & Sandi?

BJ & Cheryl, please send your warm weather this way! Like Sue, I'm not quite done with fall yardwork, & was even delayed yesterday by our first measurable snow. It looks like we'll have some hi 50s again Sat thru next Thurs, but I'd take higher:)

I've googled (yep, Anita, I did!) for info on Tigg's yeast infection, so I'm now making his meals. Spent all day yesterday cooking for him! That's a biggie, since most of you know I don't even cook for myself.

Okay, submitting this now since poofed my first try. Y'all have a great day 8-)

Good Morning!

Carolb, my younger daughter started cooking for her 3 dogs after one had stomach (?) stones. What a difference it made in their appearance and about turned them all into puppies! It is a lot of work! She does it all on Sunday and freezes individual meals.

I am so excited for Liz and Diana! Would love to be with them but I sure couldn't keep up with all their hiking. Yes, I've been trying to remember who all is headed for the Grand Canyon - Liz, Diana, Sandi, Birdie and one more?

Guess you gals getting snow know that winter is fast approaching! Weather here near Lynchburg is pretty - cold at night and days are a mixture of temps. Just can't get in the mood to go anywhere so getting some of the clutter handled. I'll head south Nov. 6.

Make it a great day and safe travels!

Stopped raining today, which means I need to go dump my tanks while I can. It was definitely an indoor day yesterday as it rained all day, but at least I have a great view of the Caribbean Sea, facing Cuba. It makes me wonder who is over there looking this direction. And the seabirds are back since they were gone all day yesterday, obviously sheltering somewhere from the heavy rain.

Don't forget any of you who are in Florida that we have a small GTG coming up at Myakka SP. There are still a few spots available from Dec 11-18, when Liz is going to be there. I am going to be there from the 15th to 26th. It is a fantastic place for birds and animals, especially if you like to ride a bike.

Good Morning Everyone !! Time to check in again, waiting on another repair person. Bathroom floor is done, really like it, carpet is gone in there, which I really like. Now we're fixing heater. Need two parts, new thermostat, plus forget what it's called for unit. Thermostat I've worried about , didn't seem to function correctly, you know those feelings you have when you don't really know about something but it just doesn't seem right ? Well, unfortunately my feelings were correct, in fact it had a small burnt wire, which is scary. The heater was NOT on the list of repairs :) Usually it's said they run in 3's, well as my sis said I'm working on my 3rd set of 3's :D The only one of the major issues that might bug me is the fact the A/C in cab of RV has gone capoot !, heading to Fl soon this is a real concern. Have to wait to get it fixed down there, no where up here. Hoping extended warranty works for this fix. If its hot when I get there I might be bugged about this needing fixed otherwise somehow and someway this list of fixes is not bothering me, this really isn't me, years ago at all

Been really cool here, frosty outside couple mornings, warmed back up last day or so and nicer wk end coming up. I'm still chilled early mornings,so have enjoyed having my coffee with fireplace on. Of course my days have been starting anywhere from 4 am thru 6  and that's coldest part of night. I've been giving into naps early afternoon and I know this is why my sleep is done so early each day. Busy days need to regenerate, Right ?? :D

Working on another huge haul to thrift store and another to dump , then I'm out of here. Have to stitch cover for my seat cushion for dining table in RV. All laid out and ready to cut and stitch, taking time to really think of what I'm doing as been ages since I've covered anything. Just doing a neat job,I hope, to last until I can have it all done , which with this long list of fixes may be quite awhile  :D

Need to get moving, much longer then I'd planned. Sue, glad you're getting rails on steps, mine saved me some falls here in snowy time in years past. Hating so bad, Sarah's bad experience. Liz and Diana are having a Fantastic day today!!!! Are there more then 4 for the grand canyon trip, thought the 4 you listed were it. Think it's 1st of Nov. for their ride. Anita, if you're coming anywhere near me, parking spot is available, it still works

Take care, Stay Safe, but ENJOY this day,
CArol

Good morning!
Carolb, I will give you 20 degrees of our weather! That way we will both be in the 70's! Perfect! Now to figure out how to do that! Luckily, it is supposed to go down to the low 80's early next week. I can handle that!

Got a nice email from my SIL this morning. She said that my brother talked with the Adult Protection lady yesterday about my dad and she has decided to close his case since she feels nothing more can be done. She said even taking him to court for guardianship would probably not work at this point. Sad and frustrating!

Working later this afternoon but I have tomorrow off. No plans yet tho...
My manager accidently scheduled me for 5 days (in a row) next week instead of 4 but they are shorter days so that won't be bad. Will get my first paycheck next Friday. Tips are good so far, so once I start getting regular paychecks, I will be able to pay back some of the money I spent on my trip out here. I want to get back out of debt by spring if possible.

Lola is starting to venture out from my bedroom now and exploring the upstairs area. She still is wary of the dogs and cats tho. One of the dogs loves cats and is totally in love with Lola! We have a baby gate in my bedroom door during the day so Lola can see the animals and still stay safe. That dog is so sweet! One of their cats got outside last night and went missing. She was frantic about it and ran outside running around all over to find him. She did track him down in the yard and got him safely back inside! So cute! I call her the "sandwich" dog because she looks just like the dog in that YouTube video where the guy is teasing the dog with the sandwich that he tells the dog he made and then gave to the cat! The breed of dog and it's expressions are exactly like hers!

Have a good day!

Found my perfect TT on CL! Perfect layout and light enough to pull with my Jeep even fully loaded! Too bad I don't have the money for it right now. Will keep this in mind when I do go looking for one later.

Barbie, Why don't you check and see if you can get a loan? You could move into it and use what you're spending on rent for a payment. Don't sell the trailer and use it for storage.

That is a good thought but I have a lease here until March. At least I know now what I like and can pull with my Jeep. There are other ones out there for me later.
