Freezing Wednesday Morning

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Freezing Wednesday Morning

Postby Colliemom » Wed Oct 26, 2016 7:22 am

Good Morning from the chilly 45th. 28 degrees here between the poles. Ground is white with frost. Rain/ snow mix on forecast for later today. Good day for a bowl of chili for dinner, but first, I have sausage, pancakes, eggs and bacon for breakfast if anybody's hungry.

Off to town for banking, few things from the store, then off to pick up paint chips, check on a few other things for he house, as now that weather is getting more up and down, will be time to start doing things inside. Decided to switch spare bedroom and office around, so want to pick out paint for office room. Want to get some permanent order in there as things are l kind of stacked here and there yet and a couple of boxes yet to be unpacked.

Had a nice lunch GTG with Louise (HavingFunNow) yesterday and I can certainly say she is having fun with her new dog Drew. I see obidence competitions in their future. So, Barb, how did you first day go? Peggy, I so glad you are sticking with rehab and doing so well. Will you be going anyplace this winter? Carolb, you seem content to be staying put for awhile as opposed to heading to the SW. Course I know your "fur kid" is under the weather.

So, guess it's time to be moving on. Hope you all have a nice day.

Good morning Sue and Everybody who follows. My cardio workout consists of 30mins on the bike, 30 mins on the cross trainer and 10 mins of free weights; 3 days a week. I don't enjoy it , but I do it. I had a good check up with the urologist, so I'm off to Kino Bay, MX. I'm not driving the Roadtrek, however. I'm flying to Tucson on Nov 14 and meeting up with my rving buddies and ride with them. I will rent a casita with a friend in the same rv park. I'm taking my free weights and will walk the beach.
Beth, I camped at Gilbert Ray last year; beautiful park and close to everything in Tucson.
Enjoy today. Peggy

Drew has Hard Choices this morning! We stopped at the cider mill on the way home, and he loved it. This morning there are cider doughnuts for breakfast. He counts every mouthful, waiting for a taste. But then there's the tennis ball! He rushes off to grab it, bounce it a few times, chase it around the room. But there's the smell of the doughnuts! He rushes back to the table and stares at my plate . . .

Morning, all! After spending all day walking around Key west on Monday, I ended up with a horrible migraine and vertigo, which lasted through most of yesterday. Had a really rough time getting unhooked and dumping my tanks, but luckily had to drive only 13 miles to my next campground, Long Key SP. Arrived at new campground with throbbing head, dizziness, and nausea. Ranger was very nice to bring me paperwork to RV, and I headed to my site, only to find it occupied with a car!! I was about ready to pass out. All I wanted was to plug in electric and lay down and pass out. Camp hosts moved into situation and one drove down to ranger station while other searched beach for missing car owner. Apparently, a stupid lady two sites down decided she needed a space for her car while she drove to dump her tanks! Camp host lady helped me plug in and hook up water, then I went inside and took a two-hour nap. REALLY felt good and I woke up at least 50% better!

Got a good night's sleep last night and feel at least 90% this morning. Not sure if it was exhaustion or heat or what that caused all of this, but I get vertigo a couple of times each year. Usually lasts a couple of days and then is better. Never had it with nausea and migraine, however, so that is something I hope to not repeat.

Long Key SP is a little scruffy with narrow roads and some highway noise, but every single spot faces the ocean and has a terrific view. Long sites, also, so room for a car or two behind my rig if I had one. I am really enjoying the view.

My cat Posse pays a lot of attention any time I have a plate. I think she has gained even more weight since she had her tooth pulled. Begging is a hard habit to break.

It's hard to believe it's freezing where Sue is and it's 82 here. We have had a few cool nights but it is warming up again. Still no rain so it is getting dry.

I went out and picked up some pecans this morning. We have 2 pecan trees in the front yard but the pecans are only about an inch long. It's a lot of work to shell them but hate to let them go to waste.

I am thinking about going to town. I took Harold to the doctor yesterday but there is no shopping with him.

I should be going to rehab or some kind of workout. I started walking since it has cooled off but now my foot hurts. It seems like something is always hurting. If it's not my foot it's my knee or hip.

Still hot here, in the mid 90's! Hoping it cools off into the 80's soon. I can deal with that better.

Sue, you are always finding new projects to do! You sure keep busy!

Judy, I get nauseous with vertigo too. Luckily, I don't get that very often but it sure isn't fun! Glad you have a good view at your new place!

First day at work went pretty good. Made good tips. The manager is nice but really follows the corporate crap to a T. Some of that I just don't care for (like shaking every customers hand when you bring them back to your chair, and talking product thru the whole haircut). But no place is perfect so I will deal with it.

Can't find my good work shoes. They are not in the box with the rest of my shoes. Have no idea where else they would be so looks like I will be going shoe shopping soon!

Hopefully can finish my blog tonight and then give you gals the link to look at it.

Have a good one!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good morning
Sitting at the dealer waiting on my car. Hope it doesn't break
the bank. At least the weather is nice, a little breeze and comfortable
in the shade. Currently 79 but will get about 91 around 3.
Nothing else on my mind. Y'all have a good day, be safe.
