Gmorning all :)

I'm reading pretty regularly, just not posting much lately  Very busy time of year for us "farmers" hahah Bro & I trying to save the pepper plants & my new perennials from the freeze, at the same time, tearing out dead stuff. Leaves still on the trees, tv reports peak color for us these next few days. Then the raking!

Need to get some work done on HB before I winterize him or not. May just keep him heated for a couple months. Thinking now of staying around here for Cmas too--haven't had one at home in 4 yrs, might be kinda fun:)

Alice, keep checking off those work days. Barbie, congrats on new job. Don't know about WMs out there, but they usually have very plain tops for pretty cheap. I just bought a couple black "basic editions" tshirts, nice style, scoop neck--on sale here for $1.00! Almost as cheap as my cousin's garage sale;)

Not much else. Hope everyone continues to be healthy & happy & safe, always! 8-)

Morning Carolb, Donna and all,

Crazy as it sounds Carol, we have yet to have a good freeze up here where I am yet. Areas in lower MI and I think other areas around, have seen either a hard freeze or a frost, but for some reason, here where I am, we had a light frost last week and that has been all so far. Grass keeps growing, my neighbors flowers (impatiens) are still green and have some new buds. Crazy.Growing season is over here anyway, so doesn't matter if it does freeze. Yesterday was beautiful. About 70, sunny and near peak color. At least the yellows are anyway.

Donna, you have dreamed for so long about going and exploring the country, now is you chance. Finish up at the house and hit the road. By January, you can move west and work your way up the coast later as spring comes on, making a turn east again later on. Pick the places you really want to see and go for it. None of us are getting any younger, can[t put it off any longer. If the trek seems too small after awhile, you can always go up to something a little bigger.

As for me, I can dream for now till spring gets here. I too will be home for Christmas this year. First one in my new home and I might just put some lights outside this year. I spent 4 Christmas's in a row in the U.P. and felt good to be home for a change last year. So Carol, you might just enjoy it. i would winterize HarBor, then you don't have to worry about keeping it warm. Doesn't take long to dewinterize when you want to move south or whatever.

Looks like a rain day here today or scattered they say. So will be heading to town to get some lumber and other things for a project I want to do. Also need to change oil in my two snowblowers which i can do in garage. Taking advantage of mild weather while we have it. So guess I should get moving here, need to do a little book work and put some clothes in dryer. Not even dressed yet. Hope you all have a nice day out there and those in the PNW are faring okay through the storms.

Good morning! Good to see your posts, Carolb and Donna. Trees here losing their leaves too but lots of green still. I took the boys for a ride yesterday and ended up at Curwinsville Lake. We walked around the area a bit and then I turned them loose in the dog park for a bit. This time of year we had it all to ourselves. They have a campground there too. I thought it was just the spots in the meadow near the lake but discovered and drove through the rest of the cg up the hill. Much larger then I've ever thought. But sadly they don't honor the senior pass since the cg is run by a private group and not COE, $30 a night. Ouch, and that only includes electric at the sites. But I can see the attraction to it!

I thought I would be able to get out in the yard today but they upped the rain possibly to 50% and it's pretty wet out there now! But surprisingly warm for the time of year. Looks like Thursday it'll be back in the 50's again! Hard to believe it's mid Oct and I'm still having to mow the yard! But guess it beats shoveling snow!

Well, not much else happening here and I really need to get some laundry started. Hope you all have a good day and travel safe. Sue, just saw your post too! Sounds like your having the same kind of weather we're getting, haven't had a hard frost here yet either!

Good Morning!

Carolb, I was hoping I'd see you sooner rather than later! I can understand wanting to be home for Christmas! Sue, I can also see being in your new home for the holidays. Donna, I understand your ups and downs over 'what's next' - usually takes care of itself somehow for me. Barbie, glad you enjoyed the western town. OSharon, you said you took the boys to the park and I'm thinking grandsons, but then you took them to the dog park. Alice, another Monday out of the count!! Judy, wish I were there to crawl up on your roof for you! At this point, I am still okay with doing that.

Woke at 5 a.m. (been doing that again) and brain turned on regarding trailer repair. Made a phone call at 8:15 and was lucky to get the guy who did and will do more work. Today is moving to Lynchburg area day so got up at 5:30. Realized I have skipped a few day of meds so anxiety is a bit high - have eaten and taken pills so hoping to level out here in a bit.

Weekend was hectic to say the least. Niece's family got here Friday evening and left yesterday. Love those kids but the 3 and 7 year old are just too much action for me! Also went to lunch at SS couples' house - crazy drive. They are great people but ... just wasn't relaxing. Came home with horrid headache and then great-niece spent the night. Hung out with all of them yesterday before they left for home.

Think I'll finish up and hit the road. Drive is about 3 hours so will figure 4 - longer if I stop to shop.

Make it a great day and be safe!

Got my fall letter from the employer I work for in the spring regarding the small fall projects and the projects they have available starting in January. :? Luckily I have already sent some of my November dog show entries in for out of state shows or I might have signed up. Same with the short December dates. And the longer January dates? I really like having funds in my savings account but but but....it gets so cold up here in Ohio. I am faxing it back to them this afternoon to let them know I will plan to return to Ohio in late February in time for their big spring projects. It ran for 8 weeks last year. There is money and there are the reasons I earn the money. Dogs shows and travel So, I am good. I might not even work as late into the spring as last year. Depends upon what trips and travel I want to plan for. :) It is good to be able to have choices, I know not everyone is so lucky.

Now I think I might need to drive down to my Apple Store. My laptop is acting funny and I think it might be trying to send me a message. It is about 6 years old...... :? Liz, I will channel you as I review my options! I remember how happy you made them before we headed off to Ireland.

Good morning
Only 9 Mondays and 51 get to work days, but who's counting?
Donna, perhaps this is a good time to head west and check it all out.
Carolb, are you ready for the cold and snow? You know you can always
change your mind after the holidays.
About time for a nap, y'all have a great day and be safe.

Went to my AZ Cosmetology Laws and Sanitation class this morning. Now I am officially licensed in Arizona but have to wait until I get my actual license in the mail before I can start working. Should have it by Friday or Saturday. I am scheduled to start next Tuesday.

Just hanging out at home today getting some things done around here. Owners should be home later tonight.

That is all from here... have a good day! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
