Learned an important lesson today. If your friends tell you they are getting extra friend requests from you, it's not necessarily a hack which involves a take over including your password.
First step if friends let you know: go to Facebook. Log in. If it won't let you, then your problem is larger than I can help with. Google is your friend in getting to answers. If you CAN get into your account, go to search and type in your Facebook name. If there is more than one of you, look at both accounts. Likely one will appear normal and one will have only your photo and a list of your friends and maybe some photos, no messages. That is the clone. Click below your name on ... Where it brings up More. Choose report and follow directions to report the clone. Facebook was quick to match my real contact they could see and delete the clone. I had to do it twice so far as a new clone popped up almost as soon as I deleted the first. I'm still watching for more. Then go post a note to your real account to warn your friends. It's not your fault, it's happening and Facebook is playing whack a mole!
