It has been a long time since I've visited this forum. Seems like facebook kinda swallows all of this up sometimes. Nice to see many familiar faces here. For those who don't know me, I joined this forum probably in about 2007. Bought my first RV after my husband died and haven't looked back since. Still haven't mustered up the guts to full-time.
While I've been away, I moved from a sticks 'n bricks in Salt Lake City to another pile o' sticks 'n bricks in St. George, in the southwestern part of the state. A few months ago, I traded in my aged 2000 Holiday Rambler Vacationer for a kicky new(er) 2008 Four Winds Windsport.
When I walked inside at the RV sales place, I said, "I'm home." Can't beat that feeling. The living room has two slides, but only one is open in this picture because a tree prevented opening the other.
And, of course, like any self-respecting RVer, I immediately started to set money on fire as we replaced the (original) tires (da BIG ones) and had a hundred and one things fixed that the old owners didn't want to deal with. Did upgrade the old flat-screens with a 40" "smart" Samsung in the living room and a 32" Samsung in the bedroom. I'm in TV heaven.
I lived in it for two months this summer, and, weather depending, may head out for an multiply delayed trip to Rapid City, SD. I had hoped to leave by Sept. 15, but the big slide topper shredded, and it won't be fixed until the 20th. I'm getting somewhat nervous about heading that far north going into October, especially as I wanted to just take my sweet time.
