Lakeshore home in Arizona!

I found a room to rent in Chandler in a house with a couple cats and a ferret! $500/mo. They have a pool, hot tub and are on a lake! It sounds like a great fit for me. The room is furnished so I don't need to bring a lot with me other than clothes and personal stuff. I am excited! Now I can start looking for a position with Great Clips near there. She said there is one just a block from her. I know there is pretty much one of every corner all over Phoenix so shouldn't be a problem at all, just needed to know where to start looking. I can also start concentrating on purging and packing now and hopefully get more sleep at night. Was really worried about finding a place to live before heading out there!! Whew!

might hold on to some of your treasures??

I am just taking what will fit in my Jeep and cartop carrier. Tent will be included!

At least now you know where you are landing, the cat can come and doesn't have to wait. I know that will make it easier on her and cheaper than having to fly her out later.

Sounds great. Glad you can take your kitty. Hope she's a good traveler. I once moved across town with a Siamese cat who howled all the way as only a Siamese can.

Karen, I brought her back with me from California. I got a calming collar for her and that helped a lot. She wasn't happy but she was calm and quiet. I stay at Motel 6's and they allow cats.

And yes, I know how loud siamese cats can yowl! Yikes!
