Last Sunday of August

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Last Sunday of August

Postby Colliemom » Sun Aug 28, 2016 7:14 am

Morning all,

Quick hello before I leave for church. See most of you are busy and some moving around. Barbie, good luck with your move to AZ. Hope you like it. Judy, enjoy your few days in MI and being able to get your favorite foods, plus I'm sure you will be visiting friends too. Anita, you sound excited now that the big trip is about to begin and congrats for making it all the way acros the U.S. withyour SS.

Not sure what is on agenda today. Maybe a little dirt spreading and flower planting, if not, will be getting trailer dusted and some staples put in. Wednesday is leave day. Weather is cooling down so long pants, sweatshirts and warm jackets will be loaded as well as couple pairs of shorts and t-/shirts. Electric heater will probably be used too. Looks like nice weather though.

Gotta get moving. Have a Blesed Sunday all ;)

Morning Sue, It is a foggy morning here at Table Rock Lake, Missouri. Sun will knock that fog right out shortly. Will be warm again today in the low 90's if we are lucky. Humidity, of course, running close to 95%. Rowdy neighbor's set off their car alarm at 6:30 this morning. I was about to open the door and step out. I waited a few minutes for everyone else to get up and grumble before I left. A lot of Fish Crows and American Crows here. As they launch themselves to fly, the smallness of the Fish Crow is very apparent. Scissortailed Flycatchers out for breakfast. Squirrels are out gathering nice, fresh, ready for market acorns. About 8-9 campers in the campground. Glad I will be out come Labor Day as they will be full and fireworks are scheduled. They were practicing setting them off last night! Aaahhh, to be young and energetic enough to be setting off the firecrackers at 11:30 -12:00 at nigh. No, they weren't in the park, but over the hill. Have a safe and fun day. I am headed for that fresh brewed coffee, scrambled eggs and bacon!

Good Morning Everyone !!! Sue, your up coming camping trip sounds good to me, with the jackets and temps. :) Birdie, your breakfast sounds very tempting, but i'm a wee bit restricted until next dr app.

I really don't know what is on the agenda here today. I have another huge problem that has popped up. Now how and who to get to deal with it. :?:  I sure wish my family were not so far away and dealing with things in their own lives. Oh well, as usual it will all work out, it always does, not as fast or way I want maybe, but always for the best way.

Sun is hiding this morning, think there was a lot of fog in mountains here. it was only 91 yesterday but when I stepped out to go get mail mid afternoon, it was so still and took my breath away, sooo hot !!! Oh well, if I'm not fussing about hot, I'm fussing about how cold, right ??  I can breath better in cold, so there is an advantage to that time of year :D

Rambling, just wanted to put my Hi out there this morning and wish you all a good Sunday. Whatever and wherever you are, enjoy and please stay safe,

Good morning ladies
Mornings have become really nice, the kind I like to sit out in my jammas with
A cup of coffee. I've been doing a lot of research lately, even the thought of
buying a lot and placing the fifth wheel on it. Even that has its drawbacks.
Will do more house cleaning today, run the vacuam and rearrange the tubs I'm
keeping. Will stack them and cover with tarp out in the shed to keep them clean
of dust. Have tossed out a few more items, and rehomed a few others.Time feels
like its going quickly now.
Sheila, I sent you a pm, check your message box.
Feels like its about time to pull out the kayak and get it wet, maybe a little trip
to the lake in the near future.
Off to get some chores done, run a bath and get my hair washed. Y'all have a great
day, be safe.

Good morning all. Fair is over and today will be a day around the house playing catch up! Schools in our area start on Monday so back to that routine for the grands.

Anita, looking forward to following you on your trip back to the east coast. I had to laugh, Sue, when you said you were packing cold weather clothes! This is the time of year to layer here too. Cool in the morning and warmer to hot later in the day! CArol, hope you can get your newest problem solved. It's always something, isn't it? Barbie, glad to see you are moving forward with your plans to relocate. And Alice, happy to see you are going to retire sooner. It'll come fast. Good for you that you made the decision!

On a sadder note, I just saw on FB that Donna's dad had a stroke yesterday and is in ICU. Sending hugs her way.

Well, nothing much to report here. Happy travels to all on the road and as always, be safe.

Mornin' ladies and all who follow ~~~
Unfortunately, did not get to do a quick GTG with Tina yesterday, more Mom stuff. Loved Liz's post of the rapids what a fun adventure. And Anita is on her way also. I've seen an SS around the neighborhood and wondered if the guy was going to join your group.

How sad to hear about Donna's father. She surely will need time to deal with the new event and wish that she can still get some time with Miss M, to relieve some stress. Carol, whatever you are dealing with, we know you meet it head on. Alice I am so jealous that you are now on your final countdown. Take me with you please!

Hot & humid again in Chitown. I keep seeing signs of Fall, but the temps do not reflect the signs. Nothing exciting on the agenda for me today, just tackling a couple of house things I've been putting off. Then grass cutting later in the late afternoon.

Have a good day everyone and stay safe on the roads, rivers and wherever else you may be.

We have rain all around us this morning so will probably get more rain. There is a big area in the Gulf that they say is going West but it could move onshore and then move West. I went out to burn some trash and decided to put a wheel on the gate to the barn in my night grown and robe. By the time I got through I was plenty warm. The old wheel broke at least 3 weeks ago and a new wheel has been laying on the porch. The gate is 12' and not all that easy to open if it has to be opened all the way. It didn't look like the wheel was going to install itself.

After lunch I think I will go to Lafayette and check on my son's dog. Last night he calls me wanting to know if I had some medicine to give him. They had him neutered last Monday and he thinks it's infected. I met him half way with some antibiotics. He was out of town and I don't know why his girlfriend couldn't have called the vet on Friday. I hope those 2 don't have any kids, they can't take care of themselves.

Another Sunday and no newspaper. Guess I have to call them again. Every time I try to cancel they give me free papers. They are not really free, any I get just replace the ones I didn't get. I just hate to have to track down a Sunday paper. There just aren't that many places that sell newspapers anymore.

Hard to believe August is almost gone.
Nothing much going on here, just checking in.
I did get to storage place Friday to check on Magic. Replaced the DampRid (that stuff has been a life saver in the on-going unusually high humidity this summer), ran the engine for a few minutes then exercised the generator. Relived to have that done.
Allergy shots again tomorrow.

Ava, we will have to get together once I get settled out there! I found a cool place to live so I'm super excited about that! I am selling my kayak here but will probably buy a inflatable one out there. We can go kayaking together!

Hot and humid day today but with the breeze, it felt really nice by the lake! Love laying in the new hammock they put out there and watching the boats go by. Cleaning up my apartment tonight so it can be shown this week. Glad I can now concentrate on packing, now that I have a place to move to. Hopefully, I will be able to sleep better at night too!

Hope you all had a great weekend! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
