Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Thursday

Good morning from Kingman, AZ -

A quick breakfast and then on the road. Not taking 395 after all but will go over and hit 99. Gonna be hot not matter what.

Pretty uneventful yesterday - that's good.

Excited that Sheila got a powerful truck!

Make it a great day and stay safe!

Morning! I’m taking a break from loading the camper. First and probably only trip out this year unless Missy and I decided to take a Fall trip to a local campground. Checked out local campgrounds and absolutely nothing is open for Labor Day weekend. It’s going to be an expensive two day weekend….put on new tires, a new water pump and then park stickers. Thank goodness the refrigerator fired right up! That will probably be the next thing since it’s a 1999 5er.

Sue, your never ending energy tires me out! Your house looks great. Anita, it sounds like you are enjoying your trip. Lynn is doing great with her new little Lance.

Sheila, I’m so happy that you have a new set of wheels. I’m looking for a new to me Escape. But I’m not overly fond of the new body style. I kind of liked those boxier looking models, but all of those that I find are really high mileage. Last time I bought a “good car” (not my trusty little old Tracer) was a ’04 Taurus in 2005. It had under 30000 and I’m just ready to turn over to 100000. Not having trouble with it but think I should trade it in before it isn’t worth a cent. DH told me last night that I was a little behind on the game and should have found something and then sold the Taurus out right for a school car. I’ve done that a couple times and never had a problem selling because people know that I take care of cars. I’ve even had a couple kids ask me if I will sell my Tracer with 180000. Then I found out that they wanted to use it for a demolition derby…just couldn’t do that to my baby! She’s still my run around town car…or within 10 miles from home. No mechanical problems but the high mileage makes me nervous to go further!

Better get back to work. Have a good weekend.
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

Good morning everyone hope everyone's having fun on their camping trips whether it's two days or two weeks... yesterday I went to the church and did some crafting making ornaments for the bazaar had to go to the doctors at 1:30 so I left early got ready to head down to Palm Bay which is 30 minutes away ... just down the road not even a quarter of a mile some guy pulled up beside me and said well there's something wrong with your back tire needs attention right away and sure enough it was almost flat so I turned around and went back luckily I was where I had just bought 3 tires for Dad's car they were out to lunch and couldn't do anything so I called cancel my doctor's appointment... luckily I was able to get one for this afternoon... so after they fix the tire I ran over to Jo-Ann Fabrics to get some material to finish up the rag quilt for my new great-grandson and stop by to pick up the RT at the dealer the refrigerator was not broke is a digital refrigerator and you have to push the button to start it with two fingers not one finger don't even ask because I don't know why... well the owner Larry waved me in the office said sit down then proceeded to tell me he was moving a another unit around and put a ding in my RT... it's not bad and he's going to pay to have it fixed so I take it tomorrow for them to look at but it won't be worked on for a couple weeks yet I'm going to Anastasia State Park with Margie and the guy that does the body work is going to be out of town also... so I figured today is going to have to be a better day had to run Dad around all morning for lab work and groceries and whatnot now will get ready again and try for my doctor's appointment I must say I'm not bored in the last day or two have a good one everybody...&B safe donna

I'm off on my Hell's Canyon Jetboat Adventure in a little while. http://www.hellscanyonadventures.com/web/ The Snake River between Idaho and Oregon formed the canyon. Then tomorrow I will finally leave Oregon after spending the summer here, and head into Idaho. I ordered a replacement for my good camera that is supposed to be available for pickup in Nampa, ID (near Boise) tomorrow. We shall see.

Donna, I'm sorry about your stressful day, but glad the refrigerator on the RT is an easy fix.
Anita, I'm loving the pictures you've been posting on FB. Hope you have good traveling weather today.
I'm also excited to hear that Sheila has found a good truck to pull her 5th wheel.
Pat, one camping trip is not enough. Plan that fall trip.

Hope everyone has a good day, wherever you are.

After making my big decision yesterday to move, my mind has been very active about everything that needs to get done. I planned to get to bed fairly early last night because I wanted to go to the State Fair today. However, my mind had other plans and I laid awake until about 3:30 am before finally falling asleep (after taking a sleeping pill at 2am). Slept in until 10:30 and feel like a truck ran over me! So no fair today...will work on getting some things planned out and organized here. I need to take the cartop carrier off my Jeep that I bought last night and put it in the garage for now.

Hopefully, I can get to the fair someday next week.

Sheila, glad to hear you have wheels now and can get back on the road to new adventures! Anita, have fun on your adventure too! And Liz is having my dream adventure this summer! Love the pics!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

It's always fun to listen to what everyone else is doing! Anita, I was looking forward to your driving 395 - love that route. Now I'll wait to see what 99 brings you.

Liz, awaiting your Hell's Canyon tour pics and narrative.

Pat - one outing all summer? Funny, you're retired now and getting out less. But you have so much to do with that young cowboy!

Barbie, I often have nights when I'm making decisions or after just like you did. But they always come with mornings I have to get up!

For my exciting day I'll go pick up my mail and grocery shopping :)

A little late in posting, but slept in and also had a teleconference this morning. Drove 100 miles to the storage place and sorted through several boxes and repacked stuff. I made a lot of mistakes is keeping way too much stuff and a lot of it has been damaged over the four years/ Should have put plastic down and also put good furniture like my very expensive hutch and dining room table on something to get them off the damp cement. I had to toss three almost new mattresses because they had gotten mildewed even though they were sealed in huge plastic bags. Anyway, I have given my bedroom outfit, two couches, and a lot of other stuff to my son for his basement, so all is not lost.

My goal is to do more giving away, donating, and tossing to get it down to just a few boxes. A lot of it is family stuff, so really hard. Going to rest today and run a few errands.

Donna, looks like you found a good dealer for a change. I think most would hope you would not notice the damage and drive off. Then they could say it wasn't them.

Not much going on here. Just watching the weather channel to see what the storm is going to do. Seems that's all we do. A couple of my friends are camping this weekend but it's a no reservation campground and I have too much to do to just go on a Wednesday or Thursday and hope I can get a site. Harold would not be happy if I went camping now anyway. I need to unload fishing stuff and load a few things if we have to evacuate. A friend offered us a place to bring the horse and we can plug the motor home into his barn. Harold has never stayed in any of my motorhomes so that should be interesting.

Pat, good luck with finding a car. I think an Escape is what my son's girlfriend has. I looked at them when I was looking for a car in 2013. They were suppose to be towable but there were a lot of complaints about people having trouble towing them. The price they want for a used car just a couple of years old was not that much lower than a new car. I guess what they want and what they get might be 2 different things. I just bought a new 2013 when the 2014's came out.
