Good Morning from Savannah, Tennessee,

I woke before the alarm all set to go early and now I will wait awhile before leaving. Rain on the way. I hit some rain yesterday, but not a gully washer. I got wetter stopping to put a jacket on then I did driving! Motel has good coffee and lots of breakfast choices and I can catch up online a bit.

Alice, sorry to read about your daughter's friend. Doesn't seem that long ago she lost a co-worker. Louise, glad the you got a 2nd opinion. Seems more and more we have to do our own research. Carolb, glad your bro is back to help with all that garden!
Martha, the flooding is devastating especially when seeing the photos - so hard to imagine. Velda, I am sorry your hubby has so many health issues. Life doesn't always play fair.

Make it a great day everyone and safe travels.

Good morning. Anita, glad to see your progressing on your trip in the SS. Looks like you may get wet more then once! Can you drive and hold an umbrella over your head? Now that's a funny picture in my head!

I've had an exciting morning already. Got a call from my bank and she wondered if I was in Mexico since there were charges from there on my card. To the tune of $500+! Luckily they caught it and stopped the charges from going through but I had to run to the bank so they could issue me a new card. And that takes a week or two. So it's cash or checks for awhile. Sure glad they caught it!

The bank is close enough to me that I walked over and stopped at the little farmers market on my way home. Lots of good looking produce. Thought of you, Carolb when I bought some beets! Picked up some other veggies too. So a productive morning which is unusual for me since I'm so not a morning person! Need to do a couple of things here and then I'm off to the fair for the day. Have a good one and travel safe....and dry!

Well it's still A.M. in Hawaii so . . .

Hi ladies. Glad you're on you way Anita. Stay safe and out of the rain if need be. Good bank Sharon! I little inconvenience is OK as long as they caught it. Fingers crossed nothing else pops up.

Not good around here this week. Found out Aunt that I'm very close to has breast, lung, liver, bone cancer, and a huge tumor on her leg that they are afraid is going to break, so may be putting in a rod to keep it stable. Then they will do lung biopsy to determine what type of cancer she has and what treatments will be.

Also, not good because my cousin & I both think it's time that my Mom needs to move closer to me, not an hour away. So we found a place that is independent living, and can progress to assisted living if needed. She is getting very forgetful and has a 'poor me' attitude. Last week after a call from Mom, I high tailed it to her house and got her to an ER where they found absolutely nothing wrong. We think she was just looking for attention (sorry to be so non-sympathetic). Talked to her today and told her the next time she pulls that, I'm hanging up and calling 911, because she refused to do it last week. Also said she needs to really start considering moving closer, etc, but says she's not ready. I know the reason is because she doesn't want to move away from her drinking buddies. Been dealing with this drinking etc my entire life, and now it's really starting to exhaust me. I keep yelling at my sister that she left me alone with the crazy women and that she knew this was coming (you may remember my sister died almost 2 yrs ago).

Other than that! Life is just hunky dory! Glad to see Lyn seems to be doing great with the trailer backing up. Glad I found a replacement place for October in WI and Eileen decided to join me. At this point, sitting around and forgetting about Mom, the he _ _ hole where I work, and life in general sounds pretty good to me.

Keep up with the travel stories & pics ladies! I need the diversion. Stay safe on the roads where ever you are.
Cheryl

Cheryl, Sorry to hear about what you are dealing with with your mom. I have been thru a lot of the same stuff and can totally relate. The drinking stuff is hard to deal with. Been there, done that with my dad too. Just have to use tough love on them.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
