Cheryl -- I put it on my calendar and will see what is going on during that time. What is your "stupid project"?

Hope you can make it Rosemary. My stupid project is an IT system upgrade to a new version in the Cloud.

For anyone unfamiliar with the area, that's far southwestern Wisconsin. If you've never been, I also suggest a day trip to Galena, IL. You won't be too terrible far from the Field of Dreams in Iowa. And, yes, I recommend seeing the grotto in the one link.

Have fun!

Thanks for the info Beth. Galena can always be a fall back day destination (if anyone comes & wants to go). I'm about Galena'd out. Been there 3 times in the last 5 years. But Fall is a pretty time to see the colors on the bluffs.

Since some are concerned about temps and this maybe being too late for northerners like Sue (who winterize earlier than I do), Search of average temps for this week's time frame is mid 60's. Just saying ~~~ 8-) I like Fall, so it's still a go for me.

It doesn't fit in my plans but I would like to try this cg. Maybe I will head that way earlier in the year.

Cheryl -- I have you on my calendar, still don't know what I am doing, but if I am around and not working, I am going to try to make it. I have a lot going on right now, my daughter is going thru a bad divorce, my brother and his wife have decided to move to MN and will be staying at my place in WI will they look around. Work wants me to stay - :(

More than likely will be cancelling this location, but keeping the same dates. JudyJB says the trains run all the time and always blow their whistles (horns?)

Anywho, I have a few places in mind, that actually still have openings for this week, so looking to find out if anyone has been there, or opinions if any one thinks they could possibly make it.

Options are:
Perrot SP, Tempealeau, WI
Potawatomi SP, WI (up near Sturgeon Bay in Door County)
High Cliff SP, WI (near Sherwood)
Merrick SP, WI (across the Mississippi from Rochester MN)
Buckhorn SP, Necedah, WI
Mirror Lake SP, WI (south of the Dells)

I'd hopefully like to make reservations by Monday, since these campgrounds do have openings, but are maybe 1/4 to 1/2 booked already.

All help appreciated!

I might be able to do this one. Depends on if I end up moving or not.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Moving smoving! You need a break from drama with Dad and would be fun to meet you, even if only for a day or two. I have a couch if the nites get to cold for you in a tent. 8-) If you come, bring your scissors. I need to find someone new for a haircut since my girl moved.
